Interaction with Guests
It depends on the guests. Some of our guests like to interact a lot with us (and we love it), and others mostly like to do their own thing (yep, we love that, too!) Our goal is for a guests to be happy and comfortable during their stay at Cuisine Miguel.
I am supposed to write here what I like most about the neighborhood around our home. Tropical breezes, beautiful view of the ocean and island of Chora off our front porch and the guest's bedroom, waking up to the sound of a multitude of local birds, squirrels, geckos, and of the Howler Monkeys that come to feast on the Mango Trees in our yard.
Our beachfront home is in a short walking distance to local restaurants, galleries, supermarkets, surf and paddle board lessons and kayaking. You absolutely do not need a car during your stay here in Samara, but we have ample parking in our driveway, just beside the hosue.
Other Things to Note
Miguel is an excellent Chef. We usually have Sunday Dinners, kind of Family Style. We typically serve between 3-12 people. Either your own private dinner, or we may have a few more people from different places in the world join us. The cost is usually $10 USD per person, bring your own beverages. The price varies, of course, depending on the menu choice. More intimate dinners may be arranged with Miguel on other evenings of the week. Those prices usually range from about $15 pp to $25 pp, again, depending on the menu. For Sunday dinners, the first person or couple or family to book, usually makes the basic menu request: seafood, beef, pork, poultry, vegetarian..... Then, Miguel shops on Sunday morning for the freshest supply of each and makes his decision based on the initial request. Often, a typical Sunday Dinner includes all of the above. Come Hungry! Here is one of our reviews of Miguel's Sunday Dinners:
From Andy Cary:

Each course delivers sensational flavors and will literally have you begging to know what’s in there that makes it taste so good. Hola, bonsoir, hi :)
Had a fantastic 2 week stay at Miguel's and Sarah's and Jack's (let's not forget Latina and Flo, and often times Moka)!
If you're looking for a quiet place right on the beach (12 sec walk to the waves), your private room with a bathroom and good company, it's the place to be!
Helpful and generous hosts, very close to Samara, quiet area, great Sunday diners, 2 fans (ask for the black one for an optimal white noise experience and cooling effect), and way way more, you won't regret your stay!
Don't hesitate to book there!
Miguel, Sarah and Jack were wonderful hosts. They were very helpful and had great information about Samara. The location of the house was amazing. Very close to town and right on the beach. Miguel's cooking is a must have!
Sarah was an exceptional host! Their house is located on the beach and we enjoyed being at the house almost as much as being on the beach! The kitchen is fully equipped and we could make breakfast and then enjoy it on the porch that faced the beautiful ocean. Our bedroom window faced the beach and during the night there is a nice breeze coming from the ocean. Sarah was extremely friendly and generous. She shared many stories and made us feel welcome. We can't wait to come back to Samara, and we would love to stay with Sarah and Miguel next time we come.
I only have small complaint that room gets really hot maybe just a better fan other than that I wish I could have found Samara and you guys earlier.
Great find, right on the beach 2min walk to town.very relaxing stay at Casa Miguel wish I could have stayed longer than 3days hope to be back next year

About the Host, Miguel
Hola! Miguel is originally from Germany. He moved to Playa Samara in 2008. Sarah has been coming to Samara since August 2011. Sarah moved here from Florida in Feb. 2013. We both LOVE it here. We have met so many wonderful people from all over the world. Miguel is a chef and guitar player. Our favorite night of the week is Sunday. That's when we have our special Sunday Dinner. It is usually for about 8 people. Miguel usually prepares a 5 course meal, and then we sit around the front porch playing guitar and talking. House Guests who wish to join in on the meal usually pitch in for groceries to cover the cost of the meal, and they bring their own beverages. We have a dog (Latina) and a cat (Flo). I'd like to say that we rescued them, but, actually, they rescued us. They are "beach pets"and typically come and go as they please. Both are very friendly and sweet. We'd love to meet you! Mi Casa es su Casa! Hasta luego!
