A truly amazing space! This large bedroom w private living room, 1st FLOOR apt is the best value in Park Slope! The vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors are just the tip. Large south facing windows open up to the greatest neighborhood in NYC!
2 Large rooms on the 1st Floor!
I always enjoy when my guests arrive because they are constantly impressed by the size of the space! The bedroom and the living room are both included and are separated by French doors with thick curtains, which allow for a dark and quiet sleeping experience. The sizeable living room has 3 enormous, south facing windows that let in the sun, sights and sounds of Park Slope (the best neighborhood in NYC).
There is a queen bed in one of the rooms and plenty of room for an air mattress which I have on site.
*Check-in/out time is very flexible, and if your departure is late, feel free to keep your luggage at my place while you take your time in the city!
* I will give you keys so you can come and go as you choose.

-- very diverse and progressive neighborhood, all ages and cultures living in harmony.

I encourage my guests to immediately feel at home! I want them to feel a connection to the neighborhood, the space and everything in it!
Guests will have access to the kitchen, all pots pans, the refrigerator etc...
The Bathroom is huge by NY standards and since I use the shower at the gym, I am never in the way!
It is my #1 concern that my guests have complete access to the bathroom at all times!
Interaction with Guests
I am extremely outgoing, but once the formalities are out of the way, I leave the interaction time to my guests. I make myself available for any questions, recommendations, or concerns, without interfering with their stay. I've had guests that I've shared dinners with and I've had others that preferred to be left alone. My only concern is the comfort of my guests for the duration of their stay!
After 5 years in this apartment I am still blown away by this neighborhood and It's location! The beautiful brownstones that line the streets give Park Slope a very historical and calming feel. It is hard to believe that Maximum City is only 3 stops away! The feeling I get when I return from a day in Manhattan is priceless! I wouldn't trade the calming aspect of Park Slope, or Brooklyn for that matter, for anything. They can keep Manhattan, because Brooklyn is where it's at!
As of now there are very few rules and I hope to keep it that way. There will be a very short list provided at time of stay
One of our best Airbnb experiences yet! Kevin responded quickly both before and during our trip. He was there to greet us when we arrived and the room was clean and ready for us to stay. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable, and Kevin is a great host. We enjoyed talking with him about the neighborhood - which is great! This is one of the best NYC neighborhoods and you get to stay there for a steal. Convenient to the subway (~25min ride from Port Authority) and walkable to everything you'll need (groceries, coffee, restaurants, pharmacy, etc.) We went to a tournament at Barclays Center and it was an easy walk each day, and still centrally located enough that we could stop back home before heading into other boroughs for the evening. Kevin really understands what Airbnb is about and this is a great choice for your travels.
Our experience staying at Kevin's could not have been better. Kevin's a great host, and a great guy to boot. His place was spacious, private and clean. Kevin knows how to strike that balance between giving his guests space and privacy, while also making it clear that he is available to help out in any way. We weren't just provided with a great place to stay, but walked away feeling like we'd made new friends in Kevin and his son, Oscar. Two cool guys. Thanks again, Kevin.
The reservation was canceled 48 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Kevin's rooms are warm, spacious and lovely, clean as a whistle and warm in the winter. The large windows give great light and connect you to the quiet street. The apartment is conveniently located in the bast part of Brooklyn within easy reach of all kinds of restaurants, services, recreational places and the subway. Kevin made us feel very welcome and at home with the perfect mixture of conversation and independence. This is a place you could spend many days happily! We highly recommend this airbnb to anyone looking for an at-home experience in the heart of Brooklyn.
Myself and 2 classmates stayed with Kevin for a month. Everything was great! Kevin was available whenever we needed advice and respected our privacy. The rooms were clean and very comfortable to stay in. Park Slope is a wonderful area and Kevin definitely added to the awesome experience. The area is loaded with restaurants and is not too far from the subway if you want to go to Manhattan. Would recommend this spot!
Hey guys, Kevin is one of the best hosts we've ever had!!! We felt home immediately! He has a very friendly and relaxed vibe..he is very helpful and was always there when we needed help. When we arrived he helped us to settle down (which was great cause we were travelling with our 2 year old daughter and needed help with sheets and even offered a baby bed..he also had lots of toys which was great for our daughter..) afterwards he went to his room to give us privacy and time to arrive.. One time I texted him about the name of the nearest train station and he not only replied immediately but was also sending directions right away ;-) The place is super clean and comfortable, the neighborhood is hip and safe and has lots of cafes, shops and subwaystations in walking distance. Only 20 minutes by subway to Manhatten, super easy! We wish we would have had more time, not only to explore Park Slope but also to hang with Kevin. He didn't treat us like paying guests but as friends! We will definetely come back!
First time in the Brooklyn area of New York City, even when I spent just one night at Kevin's place was a great experience, he was very helpful in all the ways and he has an awesome personality definitely I will contact him on my next trip to the big apple!!!
I am an easygoing Michigander who moved to Brooklyn from a small town in Montana (1500people) 5 years ago. I love it! There is so much to see and do.
I am just starting my second year as an airb host and I only have fond memories of my first! I like to think I specialize in hosting foreign guests, but my honest, straightforward, mid-western upbringing keeps me well rounded. Just ask my Mother:) I was fortunate to have traveled the world in my 20"s and 30's and now I really enjoy having the world come to me. I genuinely love being a host! A guest (and now a friend) from Northern Ireland wrote, "This guy embodies the spirit of AirBnB" I'm flattered by this and I hope it is true.
I recently graduated from Brooklyn College and I'm now certified to teach kindergarten through the 6th grade in the state of New York. I'm looking forward to the challenge!
Oh yeah, I'm also into Bonsai (miniature trees)! I guess, possessed by it would be a more accurate description? I have close to 100 trees at this location and another 800 or so at my nursery in Michigan.
