Situated in the Royal County of Meath we are at the Historical centre of Meath, with the Hill of Tara, Seat of the High Kings to Bective Abbey dating from 1147, Trim Castle where Brave heart was filmed to Kells where there is copy of the famous ‘Book of Kells’ (original in Trinity College Dublin) and Slane Castle all within a 5 mile radius. Travelling a couple of miles further you will encounter Oldcastle and Loughrew’s passage tombs and burial mounds which predate the Egyptian pyramids to Bru na Boinne the Neolithic age burial chambers known as Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth which is a United Nations World Heritage site and last but not least the ‘Battle of the Boyne’ visitor centre where William of Orange and James II fought near the river, this skirmish still resonates in Ireland.yet only one hour from the centre of Dublin and 45 minutes from Dublin Airport.
