The area surrounding Nelson is a paradise for mountain biking, skiing, hiking, climbing, boating, fishing and golfing. There is no shortage of great restaurants and cafes to get a taste of Nelson. You can also enjoy the many boutique shops, with locally produced goods; or browse the vendors in either of the two farmer's markets held each week.
For longer staying guests, we will provide you with weekly housekeeping services, for an additional fee of $50 per week.
Children are, of course, welcome. One of the bedrooms is geared towards young children with a beautiful hand painted mural and child sized furniture. In the yard you will find a trampoline, slide, and zip line to keep your littles entertained.
Prior to booking, please be aware that our family lives on the property part time.
We look forward to hosting you in this stunning property.
House was perfect for our group of 5. A somewhat long walk to town, but a beautiful walk. (Most people would probably want a ride home as the uphill is significant-we tended to walk anyway. Close proximity to great skiing at Whitewater. Nelson is also amazing. Also nordic skiing on a railtrail 1 block from house.Would definitely return. Stephanie is a breath of fresh air and it was more like visiting a friend than renting a house. She was glad to share all the ins and outs of nelson and answered any questions we had. Oh yeah, great kitchen!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'The House on the Hill'. It was easy to find , just straight up the street from downtown. The large beautifully furnished and well equipped house with a number of individual rooms allowed our large family of adult children, including two grandchildren, to spread out and gain privacy when needed. The large open area kitchen/dining/living room made it easy for us to gather together.
Large windows provide great views of the West Kootenay Valley. The grandkids thoroughly enjoyed the back deck and yard - the trampoline was a real highlight for them.
We will certainly consider staying there again - a perfect spot for a family reunion
Fantastic location and beautiful home - perfect spot for a large group visiting Nelson and the surrounding area. We had an amazing time - thanks Stephanie!
We just returned from our weekend stay at Stephanie's house and it was amazing! Each of the party guests commented on how great the house and backyard was for relaxing.
The house was very easy to find and just a quick drive down the hill to the downtown area. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Nelson and it's a great spot if you have a larger than normal group.
Thanks again for allowing us to stay at your home Stephanie!
