Interaction with Guests
We take our cues from the guests, usually have conversation while serving brkfast and when showing you around when you arrive - kind of the joy of a B & B!
Very rural neighborhood, very quiet, not far off a paved road, well maintained roads, see the stars at night, sled, ski, or snow shoe from the door. A few local farms where we can get fresh eggs, meat, flowers and melons in season.
We will meet Amtrak in Montpelier or you can pick up rental car there or at airport in Burlington. Minimal bus services to Marshfield Village.
Other Things to Note
Write to us for exact directions from anywhere.
No indoor smoking. Parking in graveled driveway. Common sense amount of care for antique furniture/wooden surfaces. Showers before hot tub. Shut the door tight in winter - Get instructions from one of us before attempting to load the stone wood stove -- that's about it -- well, it's a "green" inn - so we'd assume you are already into turning off the lights when you are out!
Jay is a college instructor and a writer - history. Jude, retired academic/activist - well not so retired activist! We are caring for large old farm, lots of wild life, dozen sheep, ducks, gardens, orchard, hayfield, and managed forest. See web site for more about us and the place -
