This lovely decorated and peaceful house with lots of handmade furniture is perfect for families or couples. Simba House Kenya is on the way to the Masai Mara, the famous national park. It is perfect for safaris as well as other excursions.
The master bedroom has a large double bed. The 2nd bedroom has a unique and stable wooden bed (down: 1,40 m, top: 1,20 m).
There are two bathrooms available. One is renovated according to European standards. The 2nd bathroom provides a toilet and a shower.

The space
The Simba House was built in 2019, we bought it in 2022 and renovated it with a lot of effort and passion for our guests according to European standards and equipped with furniture of high quality. For example, the mahogany tables are all handmade by a carpenter - as well as the sofa.

The large bathroom has been completely renovated. It has a separate shower tray with a shower curtain - this is rare in Kenya. In houses, "shower toilets" are the standard. This means that a shower head is mounted on the wall in a bathroom with a toilet. When showering, the whole bathroom is then "flooded". With the shower tray and the shower curtain, we create a feel-good ambience in the bathroom.

We also installed a high-quality pump to generate the necessary water pressure. This also does not exist normally. Since there is no external fresh water system and our water is drawn from the tanks, the water normally trickles out of the tap. With our system, the water flows properly - it is also heated in the shower head and is pleasantly warm to hot.

Guest access
You have the entire house to yourselves. Only one small room is locked, where our personal belongings are kept. Everything else is completely available for you: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living room with a dining area, the kitchen with a mahogany counter, a large courtyard and a cosy sitting area on the terrace. Green plants and small palm trees create an exotic atmosphere.

Other things to note
Security: Living standards in Kenya are different from those in European countries. It is important to secure high-quality houses like Simba House Kenya. The house is secured by a perimeter wall around the property and a heavy gate. The gate must always be locked. In addition, an electric fence is installed on top of the wall. This must always be activated. You can find more information about this in our house rules on site.

There are also security lights mounted outside of the house. These security lights must be on at night. There is also information about this on site.

With these security measures you are absolutely safe in Simba House Kenya and can enjoy your stay in the beautiful house with complete peace of mind!

Berni and Maureen are married, Berni and Heidrun are siblings. Together we bought this great house in Kenya because we are passionate about the home of Maureen, the culture of the Masai and safaris. We have renovated the house with a lot of love and effort and adapted it to European needs. Many furniture is handmade by a local carpenter such as the mahogany tables or the comfortable armchairs.
