Two bedroom apartment in Silverlake - directly above Sunset Blvd., with all the clubs, restaurants, and shopping for which the neighborhood has become famous! A calm retreat on a breezy, spacious deck with a stunning view of the downtown L.A. skyline, Year-round gardens with edibles for you to pick and enjoy. If you're looking to be near it all and escape at the end of the day - you've found your L.A. paradise!
Between Echo Park and Hollywood, close to Melrose, Koreatown, Chinatown, Griffith Park, and 15 minutes from downtown.
There are only four units on the property - this is the last unit, more quiet, has a large yard (only one) and has a killer view. Great neighbors - very considerate, so please be considerate of them.
Street parking (always available - no street cleaning days). Buses on Sunset Blvd., Subway (red line) is about one mile away. Having a car in L.A. is always better, however.
Gourmet kitchen, Trader Joe's is nearby, and there's a Farmers' Market five blocks away on Tuesday afternoon-evenings and Saturday mornings...the Silverlake reservoir is a short walk over the hill.
Dane and his place were absolutely fantastic! He was extremely friendly and helpful and his home was beautifully furnished and in a great location for getting around LA. The view from the balcony was spectacular and some nights we found it hard to leave. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to visit the LA area and will hopefully be back one day!
We couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay in this cozy house in Silverlake. Amazing Views are no lie...big windows facing out at downtown LA were breathtaking. In addition this house is in a perfect location in Silverlake--just blocks away from the great shops and restaurants of the neighborhood. Dane was a very generous host--super thoughtful and had every detail taken care of. We hope his zen house will be available for a future trip to the LA area.
This was truly a WONDERFUL weekend in L.A. Dane's place is everything is says it is and MORE! The view is BREATHTAKING and to wake up in the morning to the fresh air and the view you will NOT want to leave. Accomodations were clean, comfortable, organized, and very zen (which helped us relax). I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to L.A.! Dane is a gracious host...he kindly waited up super late to let us in after our flight landed later than expected. Silverlake is a great neighborhood and you're close to EVERYTHING here.
My wife and I had an awesome time at Dane's Silverlake apartment. It's in a perfect location to take advantage of Silverlake/Echo Park restaurants/bars/coffee shops. The deck and gardens are unreal, with succulents, wind chimes, and lounge chairs. An incredible view and atmosphere. We spent several hours each afternoon just relaxing. Dane was awesome, welcoming and helpful. We would love to return sometime! Highly recommended!
Dane is a great host and made us feel at home for our stay in Silverlake !
A lovely property - clean and comfortable - with absolutely all that you would need ... and a truly amazing view across the city ... perfect for early morning coffee !
Highly recommended !
This place is really great. It's light, airy, peaceful, and centrally located. It's hard to imagine a better place in the area. And Dane is a wonderful host. He's responsive, friendly, and stays out of your way so you feel like the place is your own. I was sad to leave when my visit was over.
What a zen place!
From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, we had an AMA-zen experience. Dane welcomed us to the house with tips on where to eat, pointed us in the direction of fresh towels and toilet paper, and had bottles of wine ripe for the drinking.
Succulents everywhere, and only a short walk to awesome coffee and food on Sunset. Emmett, the neighbors cat, was also a welcome visitor. Would definitely recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay in the SilverLake area.
We stayed in Danes wonderful place for 10 days and enjoyed everyday.
Dane Was there to welcome us, eventhougth we came in very late.
The place is everything it promises and more, the atmosphere, the dekor, the well ecquiped kitchen, lots of guides and books about LA and of course the jewel of the house, the terasse and the view.
We, coming from Denmark, loved that you are actually in walking distance from nice and special areas with shops and restaurants. On Sunset Junction we recommend restaurant Stella and on Silverlake Blvd, La Mill and Oyster Bar.
Highly recommended. Ib & Nete Borup
We had a great stay at Dane's place. The view was as amazing as advertised and the chaises longue on the deck were where it's at. The hill was killer but to be expected with a view like that. Dane was extremely nice and considerate.
Neighbourhood is great, we ate at Cliff's Edge twice, found some nice thrift stores, good coffee.
I'd love to come back to LA for longer and spend more time at Dane's. One day.
Dane's apartment was perfect for our family of four. Our friends who live in Silver Lake could not believe how great the location is. The apartment is compact and not fancy, but it's clean and has lovely decorative touches, like Buddhas and billowing drapes. The garden, deck and view are fantastic, it feels like a treehouse, as it's perched on a hill in a beautiful neighborhood. We picked fresh limes from the yard. The kitchen packs a lot into a small space, very efficiently. There are ample appliances and lots of spices. The washer/dryer was hugely helpful. While the location feels removed from busy Sunset Blvd, it's easy to walk down for a bite or cup of coffee. Dane also left us a lot of maps and helpful info. It's a great apartment, easy, airy, cozy, peaceful. Highly recommended.
