About This Listing
The room is part of a small cave hotel nestled in the centre of Cappadocia, in the town of Goreme. The arch room is a traditional style of building in this region. Natural, locally found stones are used for the construction. The thick stones keep the room naturally cool during the hot months of summer and retain the warmth during the cold winter. The room is furnished with a comfortable double bed, a writing table and closet. The bathroom attached to the room has a shower, toilet and washbasin. Towels, a hairdryer and toiletries are complimentary.
The hotel has a friendly and informal atmosphere. It is located in a quiet side street, only a 5 minute walk from the center of town and the bus station, shops and restaurants. You are always welcome to help yourself to a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the views from our breakfast/reception room or one of the terraces of the hotel.
When you arrive I will be here to welcome you and provide you with all the necessary information on the region, and help you organize any activities that you would like to do. This is the ideal place from where to explore this region full of breathtaking landscapes, decorated Byzantine rock-cut churches and troglodyte dwellings. There are daily tours to the different parts of the region, hot air balloon flights are sunrise and a number of great trekking routes.

This place was awesome to stay in. It is nice and quiet and the staff are very kind and accommodating. It is in a really good location - a short walk up to sunset point to watch the hot air balloons in the early mornings (like we did), it is at the end of the main street so plenty of shops and restaurants to explore and try and had a nice terrace overlooking the town. Erdogan is very kind and easy to talk/communicate with. We were quite tired from our travels and so this place was really handing to pop back to for a quick nap between adventures.
what you see is what you will live in. Erdogan is a good and easygoing host ! Erdogan picked us up and saw us off when we arrived and left. The room is rather clean, and the hotel is easy to find. ERDOGAN helped us book the hot air balloon and green line tour. it's really a good choice to live here when you get to Goreme,Kappadocia!
Perfect experience. We had a wonderful stay here. Erdogan is super nice and helps us a lot in booking every activity. The staff is also superb and impresses us a lot. We cannot be more satisfied.
Accommodation was excellent. Location was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Service was excellent. 100% would stay here again.
It was a pleasure communicating with Erdogan. We arrived in Göreme on the night bus from Istanbul. He offered to pick us up at the bus station, but it was a pleasant walk and the hotel was easy to find with the directions he gave. He also helped us book a balloon ride in advance at a discount. Upon arrival we were invited to breakfast after which our room was ready. Everything is as advertised. Highly recommended.
You can head to Cappadocia and stay in Gedik Cave Hotel with no advanced planning needed. Erdogan will help to check the weather and make the best plans for you. It was easy to communicate with him as he speaks perfect English. He was always readily available, be it to share some hiking tips or to drop you off at the starting point of any hiking route. He was pro-active in making sure that your time in Cappadocia is well spent. Fresh towels and housekeeping were provided daily. Feel free to have fresh coffee/tea and water throughout the day.

About the Host, Erdogan
For the past 15 years I have been living and working in Cappadocia, Turkey. I love nature and trekking which is what first brought me to this part of Turkey. I run my own small hotel in Goreme town situated within the Goreme National park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The valleys surrounding Goreme are incredible and contain some great hiking opportunities. I love to share my knowledge of the area - gained after being a trekking guide and tourism pro for more than a decade - with all who pass through this unique region. Its great top meet people from all parts of the world and help them discover one of my favorite places in Turkey.
I hope you will think of my hotel as your home, where you will feel comfortable and relaxed. Come and have a cup of tea or coffee and a chat when ever you feel like it.
