I have a spare room in a mid terrace house in a quiet residential area close to the city centre / central station and less than 5 minutes walk from a variety of local shops / coffee shops / restaurants / bars / park / bus stop. The Ormeau Road is one of the nicest areas is Belfast and I hope to make sure my guests have the best experience of Belfast possible.
The house is a 4 bedroom property but I am the only person living in the property. The house has recently been painted and has new carpets.
There is a television in the living room but I prefer to listen to music and use online watch again services / DVDs instead.
I will leave a guitar in the room which you are welcome to play between the hours of 10AM and 8PM if you wish.
No smoking in the house - smokers are free to smoke in the back yard.
I will leave a guitar in the bedroom which you are welcome to play between the hours of 10AM and 8PM if you wish. There is also a piano downstair which guests are welcome to play between 10AM and 8PM. These time limits are approximate but have been set as I do not want to offend my neighbours by playing music late at night.
Tea / coffee / breakfast cereals will be provided.
I came from Brazil as a visiting researcher at Queen’s University Belfast and have spent 1 month at Ronnie’s house in Kimberley Street. It was a really good experience. Starting from the helpful approach from Ronnie and his friends, with which I have enjoyed casual conversations e.g. about the music and night scene in Belfast and near regions, as well as on practicalities. I have had access to the kitchen and living room, which was very convenient. The bedroom was warm (we were in the winter, from mid January to mid February) and quiet. The location for people working on Queen’s University is perfect, no more than 20 minutes on foot in a nice path through a botanic garden, passing a charming river’s bridge. The house is located in a quiet residential street, far from typical noisy student’s accommodations. At the same time it is close to groceries, markets and restaurants in Ormeau Road. Finally, the house is not far from the city center, 15 minutes by bus. Certainly I recommend and expect to come back again, when the opportunity appear. I have had the impression that Belfast people is quite receptive in general, and it was excellent to enjoy the Irish spirit in Ronnie's house.
Ronnie was very warm and friendly and his house was as central and cozy as advertised. His recommendations for Belfast were spot on and I felt like I was staying with an old friend. Definitely a great find!
Ronnie was great! Even though I got lost in Belfast and was a lot later than stated, he waited to get me settled in and recommended some cafes and restaurants, which was really helpful. The place was really nice, exactly how the pictures show, the neighbourhood felt safe, and I didn't feel uncomfortable walking around it in the dark at all. Public transport/buses into town were also incredibly convenient when I felt too lazy to walk. Really enjoyed staying with Ronnie in Belfast.
Ronnie is a fantastic host. He has picked me up from the train station more than once and gave me a tour of Belfast while I was there. He's very welcoming and friendly with great local knowledge of the places to check out. Would definitely recommend!
It has been a great weekend staying at Ronnie's. It is highly recommandable! He is a great host and the neighbourhood is calm yet urban with a good infrastucture of shops, cafes and restaurants. And we took taxis to the centre which is really cheap in Belfast.
I have travelled many times for business and pleasure, always staying with airbnb, but this time I was about to immigrate to Belfast as a mature (website hidden) anxiety was tremendous.I booked Ronnie's room for a week in order to find a room for a year. Ronnie was an incredible host, a trully noble and caring person, like an old friend. He made whatever was possible for a welcome and more relaxed arrival. His house is sophisticated, clean and modern. The room quite and comfortable. And the house is v.close to Ormeau Rd, where many different shops and super markets are. 3 different buses for center.Very convenient and safe location. His house is 20 min on foot from Queen's University and 15 min from city center by bus. I strongly recommend this fabulous guy and his magnificent house for all who intend to travel to Belfast.
Ronnie was just awesome. Picked me up from airport, helped me to collect the forgotten issues, had wonderful chats & drinks with him. Just what you hope to get when you want to dig into Belfast. Don't forget the cupboard Ronnie ;-) & cu soon!

My other hobbies are playing football and going to the gym. I enjoy a social drink and might even treat you to something from my whiskey collection.
