I have a spare room in a mid terrace house in a quiet residential area close to the city centre / central station and less than 5 minutes walk from a variety of local shops / coffee shops / restaurants / bars / park / bus stop. The Ormeau Road is one of the nicest areas is Belfast and I hope to make sure my guests have the best experience of Belfast possible.
The house is a 4 bedroom property but I am the only person living in the property. The house has recently been painted and has new carpets.
There is a television in the living room but I prefer to listen to music and use online watch again services / DVDs instead.
I will leave a guitar in the room which you are welcome to play between the hours of 10AM and 8PM if you wish.
No smoking in the house - smokers are free to smoke in the back yard.
I will leave a guitar in the bedroom which you are welcome to play between the hours of 10AM and 8PM if you wish. There is also a piano downstair which guests are welcome to play between 10AM and 8PM. These time limits are approximate but have been set as I do not want to offend my neighbours by playing music late at night.
Tea / coffee / breakfast cereals will be provided.
Ronnie was great and recommended a lot of things to do while I was there. He helped me out with public transport and cabs which I am very grateful for. The room is nice and and the house is located close to many shops and a really nice park! Would definitely recommend.
Ronnie is a great host, he was very welcoming and helpful in every respect. His house is well located with shops, restaurants and pubs a short walk away - check out the Lyric Theatre which is ten minutes away - Ronnie invited me to one of his gigs (he clearly loves music as I do) and as a night-cap he even threw in a glass of very nice whiskey. What more would you want?!
I'd stay there again
My time here in Belfast was amazing! Ronnie's place was easy to get to, a very easy, but longer walk to the city centre, and very well kept! The room was perfect, and the bed was super comfy. All about this place was amazing! Ronnie was super friendly and explained a bunch of sights to see as well as locals pubs to check out. It was definitely a pleasure and would stay here again!
Ronnie is a great host although he was travelling a lot while I was around, he always made sure that I had everything I need. He welcomed my with tee on arrival and we sat down for a chat. Ronnie gave me lots of tips what´s on in Belfast. He owns a lovely two storey house in a quiet road near a park. I enjoyed my stay and I´ll recommend it to any single traveller who wants to get a feel for Belfast and it´s urban environments. If you don´t mind a bachelor´s home then definitely this is the place to stay! Thank you, Ronnie
I came from Brazil as a visiting researcher at Queen’s University Belfast and have spent 1 month at Ronnie’s house in Kimberley Street. It was a really good experience. Starting from the helpful approach from Ronnie and his friends, with which I have enjoyed casual conversations e.g. about the music and night scene in Belfast and near regions, as well as on practicalities. I have had access to the kitchen and living room, which was very convenient. The bedroom was warm (we were in the winter, from mid January to mid February) and quiet. The location for people working on Queen’s University is perfect, no more than 20 minutes on foot in a nice path through a botanic garden, passing a charming river’s bridge. The house is located in a quiet residential street, far from typical noisy student’s accommodations. At the same time it is close to groceries, markets and restaurants in Ormeau Road. Finally, the house is not far from the city center, 15 minutes by bus. Certainly I recommend and expect to come back again, when the opportunity appear. I have had the impression that Belfast people is quite receptive in general, and it was excellent to enjoy the Irish spirit in Ronnie's house.
Ronnie was very warm and friendly and his house was as central and cozy as advertised. His recommendations for Belfast were spot on and I felt like I was staying with an old friend. Definitely a great find!
Ronnie was great! Even though I got lost in Belfast and was a lot later than stated, he waited to get me settled in and recommended some cafes and restaurants, which was really helpful. The place was really nice, exactly how the pictures show, the neighbourhood felt safe, and I didn't feel uncomfortable walking around it in the dark at all. Public transport/buses into town were also incredibly convenient when I felt too lazy to walk. Really enjoyed staying with Ronnie in Belfast.
I am a 33 year old health care professional / part-time musician. I have recorded and performed original music with a variety of bands and toured throughout Europe. I also play solo acoustic shows in local bars. Musicians will be made very welcome!!!
My other hobbies are playing football and going to the gym. I enjoy a social drink and might even treat you to something from my whiskey collection.
