COMPLETELY RENEWED!!! Soon new picture :)
Right in front of Castel Sant'Angelo the Studio has a large room with a real bed (king size), lcd tv, A/C, a fully equipped kitchen (separated) and a shower bathroom.
Perfect also for business with the WIFI connection and the printer.
From here you are a few minutes walking distance from Piazza Navona, Vaticano and Pantheon and all other main historical sights in the center!
The area is very quiet and safe even in the small hours of the night so you will love to discover the real life of the city by simply strolling around the neighborhood.
The appartment is very well located. Great area! If you don't mind to stay in a place without day light, it's ok.
The location is so prime here. I loved the fact that I could walk 2 mins to the Main Street and see the Vatican. I was happy with the bed! Which for me is important. The only thing was the bathroom had issues. Most places in Italy have bad plumbing! But the place had a chain to flush which I wasn't told u barely tug on the string so it broke and I had to have a friend help me fix it. But as long as you don't pull hard! Hey! You're good to go! The bathroom was my only annoying part. But it can be easily fixed by the owner. It's a great place and so convent and Italian. Bene
My husband and I stayed in this apartment for 4 nights and it was exactly what we expected based on the pictures and perfect for the two of us. Although it was an older building (it is Rome though!), the studio had lots of charm and was on a quiet street. We even heard someone practicing their opera singing through the open window one afternoon! It is also very close to TONS of restaurants/bars/things to do and see. We were able to walk to all of the Rome attractions and were close enough to come back to take some afternoon naps. The only negative of the place was that the shower was pretty small and the shower curtain was teetering a bit, but really not a big deal. Diletta was great about getting back to us and checked us in without issue even though our flight into Rome was delayed till around midnight. We also had no problem with early check-out for a 6:15am flight.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The photos from the listing did not quite reflect the conditions of the studio apartment. Although centrally located, this place needs more care in basic sanitation and repair work before we would recommend it.
Dilletta's brother Ricardo met us in front of the building to give use the keys. My boyfriend and I did not mind the size of the place but we arrived to a much darker and fairly unclean space with mould issues in the very small washroom. We spent the start of our stay fixing a broken bed after removing the mattress to resetting a dislocated and weak bed support beam. There was a strong smell and a lot of visible mould on the walls and shower curtain in a very small washroom, where touching such surfaces were hard to avoid. Dilletta was made aware of all of the issues of the space. She provided a replacement shower curtain on the 3rd day of our 6 day stay, which we removed and installed. Had there been cleaning supplies we would have also tried to clean the place but these were not available, especially to take care of the dirt and grime build up on the floor and washroom. The toilet did not flush fully. The toilet also had no seat - just bare porcelain, and again the flush mechanism or water pressure was too low to properly flush fully. Any toilet flushing would also cause a steady sound of trickling water flow into the in-room water tank. So, if you are sensitive to sounds, the steady trickling sound (which does eventually stop after a long while) may be another issue.
Otherwise, the kitchenette was the nicest space in the apartment. It was small, clean, and light filled. The bed sheets, towels, and kitchenette were clean upon arrival. The wifi and air conditioning were also functional. There were a couple of hot days during our stay, and the air conditioning would turn off regularly, however, it could be restarted by unplugging and replugging the unit.
I have lived in Rome over the years and I have rented from other b&b's in Italy, so I am familiar with some of the issues related to residential spaces in such old buildings. I do hope that these essential functional and health/sanitation items are taken care of for future rentals because the apartment is well located and has the potential to be charming little place in Rome.
Dilletta did refund the requested cleaning fees.
Location is simply perfect. Diletta is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is well eqipped, computer, wifi, air conditioning.
We only missed some tools to keep the flat clean. Cleaniness in general could have been better.
For our stay in Rome this location was perfect - situated close to the major sights of this remarkable city, yet in a charming area filled with cafes, lively restos and a delicious gelateria around the corner. All the major sights in the ancient city are within walking distance, and in the early mornings the view from the bridge in front of Castel Sant' Angelo - with st peter's and the vatican close by - are remarkable. Diletta is a warm, helpful and gracious host who will ensure you are looked after. I cannot thank her enough for some of her excellent suggestions, including a fantastic night walk through the heart of the city we will never forget.
- Diletta was responsive and friendly, and made us feel welcome.
- Location was great.
- The apartment stayed cool enough to be comfortable despite the Rome heat
- Bathroom and kitchen are almost too small to be functional
- We didn't get clean sheets & towels or toilet paper until the second day
- The place was generally not clean, especially given the high cleaning fee
