About this listing

The guesthouse comfortably accommodate four people in two suites. Guests can enjoy the use of their own cooking and dining facilities, living room and a private garden with a open-air jacuzzi, heated in winter.

The space

The 700 years old Villa di Geggiano, surrounded by our working vineyard and lovingly maintained gardens, is located in Chianti in Tuscany.
This is one of the most beautiful regions of Italy, with villages and medieval towns scattered in the unspoiled countryside providing an idilic and enchanting backdrop to your vacation.
In one of the original garden pavilions, two luxury suites have been opened to guests. These conversions offer a quiet and private space to savour the Tuscan lifestyle. Although skilfully designed around its original features, complimenting the surrounding buildings, the rustic guesthouse contains a wealth of modern features.
Guests can enjoy the use of their own cooking and dining facilities, living room and a private garden with a hot, open-air jacuzzi. The guesthouse can comfortably accommodate four people in two suites.
This property is an ideal retreat for travelers who want to spend some days far from the crowd in this exclusive location.
The Pavilion has a total capacity of 4 persons but it has been designed to be easily divided into two independent suites.
Each of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with bath tub and separate shower, there are two more bathrooms off the kitchen and living room. All of the bathrooms are modern and finely designed as the entire Pavilion, that has been completely refurbished by one of the Italian leading architects with the direct collaboration of the owner.
Outdoors the well manicured garden and olive groves offer pleasant surroundings and al fresco dining in the Pavilion private garden.
The private outdoor Jacuzzi (measuring 3x4 mt. heated in winter) built in an ancient stone basin and placed under the garden’s trees offers the perfect relief after a day exploring the countryside.

Andrea's villa is a gem, and he is such a gracious host. We had an amazingly relaxing stay. The views from our villa and walking around the property is something so beautiful, you have to see it to really appreciate it all. Villa Geggiano is a sweet experience, a special treat. I could easily move here. :)

Had a wonderful stay here in the winter. The guesthouse is gorgeous! Perfect place to light a fire, crack a bottle of wine, and enjoy the countryside. Do bring a rental car so you can hop into Siena and take advantage of dining options in the area.

Our stay at Villa Di Geggiano was definitely a highlight of our time in Italy. We all wished we could have stayed longer. Andrea welcomed us personally. He was extremely gracious, giving us a bottle of the wine made by his winery and basket of fruit on our arrival. The guesthouse is sumptuously appointed, with an amazing view of the Chianti countryside. Andrea also took the time to show us the estate which has been in his family since the 1500's as well as show us part of his wine operation. The extensive grounds around the estate are breathtaking and he generously let us enjoy the gardens around the estate house itself. I hope that I am able to return for a longer stay as it was truly a magical setting with an incomparable host.

This place is much more nicer that on the picture. This is a perfect oasis of calm and serenity. On your arrival our first impression was to be in Paradise. But nothing is perfect even if this place is close to perfection. If you have to work from there the Internet is quite slow The kitchen is quite small considering the size of the appartment. The kitchen is efficient but it is not the dream kitchen of a chef. Anyway cooking cooking diner was not in our plan. You have very nice restaurant close by. We are strongly recommand this place

This place is amazing. Stunning mix of ancient and modern. Our host, Andre, made us feel like family. The main villa is a world class museum. Next time we return it will be for a month. We rate it 5 stars plus.

We simply loved being at Geggianno! The guesthouse was perfect for two couples. The peaceful, quiet setting was more beautiful than the photos and provided for an amazing backdrop for our week in Chianti. Andrea was the perfect host. He was always just a text message away. We arrived to fruit, cheese, coffee, estate wine and other delights which made our late arrival stress free. He had a short list of places to visit, restaurants and vineyards which we enjoyed. My favorite was the restaurant closest to the villa. So friendly and welcoming and affordable. The gelato is a must. We gathered on the front lawn every day at the villa to enjoy the peace and quiet and beautiful view. I wandered the grounds to take in it's history, architecture and beautiful gardens. We jogged everyday in different directions discovering an historic well, contemporary art and mountain bike trail. The Geggiano history and estate made our stay even more special. We all enjoyed the tour of the property and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The modern villa Andrea designed and built is very special placed on a very historic estate. I recommend staying in the Chianti countryside here at Geggiano as long as you can. I loved the view from my bed out to the vineyards! The villa is very clean and comfortable and maid service was provided. I miss waking up to all the birds, especially the cuckoo.

Andrea and Alessandro were excellent hosts and they have a beautiful property. This guesthouse is a historic barn (you can see the original walls through a large viewing window in the kitchen) but it also has all the modern comforts from comfy leather couches to basin sinks in the bathrooms. The upstairs bedroom looks out over the on-site vineyards. Be sure to make time to take a look at the villa itself, which is preserved over the centuries and full of great stories. I would strongly recommend this stay to anyone who would be in the area.

Thank you Chris for your stay and for the great review, I am sorry that yousr stay was so short and that the hot tub was not operational, just before your arrival we we had a serious water leak from the old stone structure which gave us lots of troubles but it is now fixed. I hope I will have the pleasure of having you again.

Villa Di Geggiano In Chianti User ProfileVilla Di Geggiano In Chianti is a superhost.

Hello, I am Andrea, Villa di Geggiano has been the family home and winery of my family, the Bianchi Bandinelli, since 1527.

The Villa is just six kilometres north-east of Siena, its facade looks out onto the enchanting hills of Chianti Classico, a region of Italy world famous for its wines, natural beauty and rich history.

It was originally built in the 14th century and the gardens together with the interiors have been completely renovated and restored at the end of 18th century .
The Bandinelli family continue to manage the Villa and the precious surrounding vineyards and have recently opened two luxury guest suites to holiday visitors wanting to savour the real Tuscan lifestyle.

The Bianchi Bandinelli family welcome visitors as their personal guests and can reserve an array of exclusive entertainment including wine tastings, cultural events, guided tours, private parties and ceremonies.

The Villa has been declared a National Heritage and, in addition to tours of the Villa and it’s gardens, there are a range of activities, events and services nearby, available to visitors during their stay. A long or short visit to the Villa di Geggiano guarantees enjoyment, whether taking a stroll through the century-old cypresses of the landscaped gardens, dining by candle-light, sampling one of our 40,000 bottles of organic wine produced each year.
We can help you in arranging activities like playing tennis, horse riding, or exploring the Tuscan countryside by bicycle, balloon or classic car – the choice is yours.

In nearby Siena, Italy’s classic medieval city, there is an abundance of things to do including the famous Il Palio, a festival and horse race that takes place on the piazza itself and was featured in the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace.

Take a look around our site, fall in love with our elegant home and book your visit with us today. We look forward to seeing you and welcoming you to our 16th-century villa.
