We spent the most blissful week in the guesthouse of Villa di Geggiano . The house catered for our every need, everything in it was tasteful and comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms were beautiful, someone with great taste updated this property. We loved it. Andrea could not have been more welcoming and helpful, we contacted him on a number of occasions during the week and he was always happy to take our calls and deal with our requests. The garden was perfect for sunbathing and the plunge pool was a very welcome addition during the course of the hot afternoons. The small village restaurant in the village served beautiful food and there is a village shop selling everything we needed for lunch in the garden. Siena is literally 20 minutes away by car where the local Co-op sells a vast range of wine and Prosecco, meats, cheeses, breads, fruit and veg. Everything you could need! We had the amazing pleasure of sharing an evening with Andrea and some guests of his in the grounds of the Villa, listening to beautiful classical music which was then followed by a candle lit supper also in the grounds. Lovely food, beautiful Geggiano wines and we shared a table with 8 other Italian people who were very friendly and kind to us non-speaking English! Please make time to visit the inside of the Villa, it is a time capsule of life over the last few hundred years, nothing I can say would do justice to the beautiful interior of this property. Andrea does a fantastic job maintaining it for the nation. Would we go back again? in a heartbeat, we have only scraped the surface of Siena but were torn between relaxing in the beautiful surrounds of the vineyard and olive groves or exerting ourselves in the heat of the city. I'm afraid the villa won most days!
Just perfect. That sums up our experience at Villa di Geggiano. Andrea was so gracious and attentive during our entire visit. He gave us a tour of his family's Villa and gardens and responded immediately when we had a question or needed any assistance with restaurant reservations, etc.
The guesthouse itself was really lovely, very comfortable, well-appointed and lived up to the pictures on the Airbnb listing. The kitchen was outfitted so that we could easily prepare meals and we were delighted to have coffee, fresh fruit, eggs, proscuitto, cheese, bread and jam already stocked for our arrival.
Other surprise and delights during our stay:
--Maid service came each day to make the beds, freshen the rooms, tidy the kitchen and living area, etc.
--We were able to purchase wine from the Villa, produced there onsite and it was delicious! We bought and promptly drank multiple bottles.
--The 2 bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms are identical and private (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs). Since we were traveling with another couple, this was the perfect setup for us.
I would highly recommend Andrea and this beautiful guesthouse to any traveler and could not imagine a more perfect setting for a visit to Siena.
Great place! Andrea has great taste and was a great host. The place itself is finished really well and overlooks a wonderful Vineyard. First class all the way. Bathrooms are finished really well, and the beds are comfortable. It's proximity to Siena was a Huge bonus. Only 15 minutes away by car. If you like luxury and comfort, you won't be disappointed staying at this place.
Great house, great location, great host - thanks for the wonderful stay Andrea! Highly recommended!
Fantastic rental experience! Ideal spot to stay while exploring the Siena/Chianti region. Beautiful house in the countryside built in a modern, elegant and comfortable fashion. Offering the serenity of the country while only being a ten minute drive to Siena. Great views of the surrounding vineyard and olive groves. The house is adjacent to an authentic 18th century villa and working winery (their wine is excellent), while maintaining a complete sense of privacy.
The owners Alessandro and Andrea, were great to deal with. Emailing with Andrea was always prompt, pleasant and helpful. Andrea was away on business when we visited, but his brother Alessandro was the perfect host. Providing us with fantastic recommendations, directions and information about their villa/winery and the general area.
My wife and I stayed for three nights and left wishing we had stayed for longer. This is really the ideal way to experience Tuscany. We are fairly seasoned in the practice of vacation rentals and this was our best experience yet. Would certainly recommend this place to any of our friends and family and will be back soon!
Incredible experience! It was a pleasure meeting you and your family and seeing your beautiful villa. Thank you for accommodating us in every manner. We look forward to visiting your again!
Villa Di Geggiano is an ideal home base from which to explore Tuscany. One of the best and most unexpected aspects of our stay was the impressive tour of the main house, like stepping directly back into time, down to the smallest detail.
The Villa gardens were delightful, and we so appreciated the ability to stroll through them at our leisure.
The hosts were exceptionally friendly and eager to help with whatever we needed. Their recommendations for food and activities were the best we received from anyone.
We had a bit of trouble with the internet/wifi connection, but in truth it felt good to be disconnected, part of the spirit of being in a place steeped in history and natural beauty.
Definitely DO sample the wine.
I would be very sad if we didn't make it back to Villa di Geggiano at some point in the future.

The Villa is just six kilometres north-east of Siena, its facade looks out onto the enchanting hills of Chianti Classico, a region of Italy world famous for its wines, natural beauty and rich history.
It was originally built in the 14th century and the gardens together with the interiors have been completely renovated and restored at the end of 18th century .
The Bandinelli family continue to manage the Villa and the precious surrounding vineyards and have recently opened two luxury guest suites to holiday visitors wanting to savour the real Tuscan lifestyle.
