A delightful little hidden gem! The Yurt is perfect for children who found the whole experience enchanting.
My mother, my partner and I had a great time at Christa's yurt. It was our first time in this kind of accommodation and it could not have been more welcoming. We had a beautiful time in the Brecon Beacons National Park and Christa and her place are part of it. Thanks for the lovely wine you left us. We had it while we were warming ourselves up around the stove.
We are a family of 5 with children aged 6 to 16 who found this a truly wonderful break.
Both the location & hosts were top class!
Hosts were ready to help if you needed assistance, but not intrusive.
We absolutely loved the Yurt experience and were amazed how warm and toastie we remained throughout our stay.
The bedding and linen were all very clean & comfy including an electric blanket!
The interior design of the yurt & furnishings created a wonderful ambience.
The separate caravan was definitely an added bonus with it's fully equipped kitchen & we managed a few great meals together.
The wood burning sauna down by the stream was amazing and we all felt so alive after a sauna session & dip in the stream afterwards.
We loved just chilling in the hammock & hearing lots of different birds.
A great magical place we'd love to return to in the
Beautiful location, secluded yurt by a river.
Christa was great, offering advise on places to eat, and being fairly hands off (which was appreciated) although just a door knock away if needed.
The yurt itself is incredible, it was our first time in one, but they are so warm, especially with the wood burner.
If only we could have had better weather, but this just means we'll have to make a trip back again some time, probably for a longer stay as well!
We had the most lovely time at the yurt. The location is just remote enough to feel cut from "civilization" but easy to access (we somehow manage to not get lost on the way. Tip, if you think you're there, carry on a bit further up :))
Lucky for us, the sauna was working and we had a nice relaxing time all together. Christa and Roger were helpful and friendly but understood it was all a trip to escape others. I would only suggest coming for at least two nights, as we only had a night off, came after 4pm and left before 11am, it felt like it all went too quickly. Just like all good things !
My fiance and I had a lovely 3 night stay at Christa's and Roger's yurt.
We had some difficulty finding the place (mainly due to navigational skills, darkness and weather) but with Christa's help over the phone we found it. Wow what a humbling, pleasurable, experience. We had a lovely welcome and the wood burner was ablaze when we arrived which was so inviting. We loved the sauna and loved jumping into the river nearby to cool down which was invigorating. As a couple we found it especially rewarding, working as a team, keeping the fire going, no outside influences, television or phones, total solitude but with the reassurance of having Christa and Roger nearby should we have needed anything.
We both really loved the whole experience and shall treasure the memories for years to come. To add to the experience we drove back through the Brecon Beacons which was wonderful as the landscape was full of snow capped mountains and reservoirs.
Our batteries are certainly re charged ready for the week ahead!

Christa was very helpful on arrival, showing us around and giving us a particularly good tutorial on how to keep the log burner going all night (which we managed to do!). The location is perfect for exploring the local area and walking in the Brecon Beacons. We stayed for just one night and the well equipped caravan kitchen was ideal for preparing our evening meal and breakfast. This is a lovely holiday destination for anyone who fancies getting back to nature for the weekend, whilst still having some home comforts. Thanks Christa!
