Perfect for honeymooners or small families, Hale Houston is a beach home located on Moloa`a Bay on Kauai’s north eastern shore. Hale Houston is a single story, raised foundation, two bedroom, two bath home with mountain, valley, stream and a “peek a boo” ocean view. Nestled in a grove of coconut trees on Moloa`a stream, there are two kayaks provided for a short paddle down a lazy stream, past a bird sanctuary to Moloa`a Beach. Or if you prefer you can take the short stroll through lush vegetation, over the private wooden bridge to the uncrowded, stunning white sand beach. The living room has rich Tigerwood flooring, cathedral ceilings, a large open kitchen and bar with granite counter tops. The spacious master bedroom suite has a king bed and a twin bed. The guest bedroom has a twin bed and a queen bed. All rooms have views and open to the wrap around deck with amazing views in every direction.

Hale Houston is ideal for those who want to get off the “Beaten Path” and enjoy a truly “laid back” Kauai vacation surrounded by natural beauty and serenity.

Moloaa Bay is a large, secluded, pristine white sand beach that lends itself to snorkeling, body boarding, surfing, shelling, swimming and sunbathing. Moloa`a, is a 30 minute drive from the Lihue Airport.

Rosemary's home is a fantastic place to unwind and relax! It's very close to the beach--you can hear the waves from inside the house. The breezes blowing through are delightful. I enjoyed walking down to the beach every morning for sunrise. At any given time, there were only a handful of people on the beach. What a luxury to have an almost private beach! If you have a clear night, be sure to go out on the deck and look at the stars. The directions to find and enter the house were easy to follow, and everything was in great condition and worked as expected. We had a carefree and thoroughly pleasant stay!

Beautiful property, exactly as it appears in the photos and very well set up for vacationers. Lots of beach toys in the shed downstairs and a fully-stocked kitchen. This was our last stop on a two-week tour of Big Island and Kauai and we all loved the house so much that we didn't want to venture further afield. We did 'force' ourselves to visit Hanalei Bay but were so happy to come 'home' to Hale Houston. I cannot sing Rosemary's praises enough. We booked VERY last minute (as in the same day) and she responded immediately to my enquiry. Plus she rang us on the house phone our first evening to ensure all was well. After experiencing various types of accommodation and booking methods on our trip, this was without doubt the best thanks to a well-described, immaculate property and a marvellous host.

What a wonderful and restful location. Hale Houston is in excellent condition. This beautiful home has all of the amenities - including the essentials to make a great meal and the kayaks, sand toys and beach chairs essential for a relaxing day. It is a fantastic retreat for a family with young children, overlooking a quiet stream and just short walk to a magnificent quiet beach. We really enjoyed our time here.

We loved our stay here. Rosemary was lovely throughout the whole process and always responsive. The property and house are beautiful, serene, and green. With the wrap around porch and numerous windows, everything feels breezy, open, and light filled. There is no air conditioning, but there are plenty of ceiling fans and doors with screens to keep the ocean breeze flowing through the home. It's a quick walk to the beach that you can see through the palm trees from the porch. The property is about 20 minutes north of Kapaa, where we did grocery shopping and would sometimes grab dinner. The kitchen is fully stocked, with a grill out back, so we made everything from grilled shrimp to homemade pesto. We can't wait to come back.

The house is excellent for a family trip to Kauai. Location is in easy distance to east shore beaches (Kealia) or Northshore which is a 15 min drive. View of the house is beautiful and the level of equipment is excellent with Boogie boards, chairs, umbrella, fishing rod, kayak, barbecue,....We loved the house, the quiet location next to the stream and the view across the mountains in the morning. Management is very professional and any issue you have is promptly answered.
