Interaction with Guests
We love spending time with our guests, exchanging views, hearing about their travels and sharing all our tips about what to visit in Provence ....and beyond.
What we love here is enjoying the nature, the pollution-free air, the Alpilles, the horses, the sunflower fields and the authentic beauty of Provence. The Pont du Gard is a must, as are the Roman towns of Arles, Avignon and Orange, the Camargue, the market towns of Uzes and Saint Remy de Provence and many spectacular villages. However, if you don't feel like travelling, just relax in the garden, and enjoy the beauty of the views overlooking the Alpilles.
You need a car in order to get around and visit the area as the public transport is not very frequent.
Other Things to Note
If you would like us to organise a ride in a horse and cart, one of the farmers nearby still takes his horse and cart out. He's often at the local village festivities.

We spent a great week at la mazet du solei. Lovely attendance from Emma & Hervé. We highly recommended.
In a word: PERFECT. We travelled quite a lot and never met such welcoming and gracious hosts. Emma and Herve are very special people and they perfectly know how to connect with you and at the same time give you the chance to be on your own. A perfect match of socializing and privateness. The house was charming with many nice details, well equipped, very clean and spacious for a family with two kids (5 + 1 year). The wonderful garden is a huge space to relax and get lost. And the location of the house between Arles, Avignon, Nimes (website hidden) the chance of nice trips without spending too much time in the car. Merci and many thanks to Emma and Herve, the best hosts we ever had. Fullstop.
Herve and Emma were such gracious hosts! My now fiancee and myself stayed in their lovely home for three days, and they made us feel so welcome. They provided drinks and snacks upon arrival, and even bought us breakfast one day!
Their house is a delight as well. It's located halfway between Arles and Avignon, and is a stone's throw away from Les Baux and St Remy. It is a really good location for day tripping. Five stars.
I can't think of more superlatives for the beautiful duplex and our fantastic hosts, Emma and Herve. The house is in an amazing out of the way location in the midst of farmland yet very close to all of the major attractions in Provence. Emma and Herve could not have been nicer or more helpful, from the home made fig jam they left for us and the bottle of wine to the delicious croissants and bread. When our flight home was cancelled at the last minute Herve helped us get another flight and work everything out. This house is so welcoming in every way. It is very well provisioned (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, every possible appliance, etc) and they have prepared guides to help you tour the area with recommendations for restaurants and attractions. Since they live next door they are always available to answer questions. The house itself is beautiful, very tastefully decorated and comfortable. It is even better than the photos. If you want a real Provence experience this is the place for you. I would give it a five stars PLUS!
This is a wonderful place to stay and Emma and Herve were exceptional hosts. As a guest, I felt that all of our needs were completely taken care of and that we had access to either Emma or Herve when it was necessary - this is important coming from another country and not knowing the area. The space was beautiful and their hospitality was truly appreciated. We would definitely return for a visit.

About the Host, Emma & Herve
We're an Anglo-French couple with two teenagers and we all adore traveling and exploring new places. 5 years ago we arrived in Provence and fell in love with the beauty of France's true Provence. We love nature, outdoor life, BBQs, cycling and swimming.
We lived and worked in Canada for five years, then moved back to Paris, before heading south to the Riviera and finally to Provence where we appreciate the relaxed way of life.
We love of course also love traveling!
