Jenny's camper is a great place to spend the night, situated next to the family run restaurant where you can buy good food and cold beers at a reasonable price. We shared two good pizzas. It's situated a little bit of the main track but is easily accessible with car, we managed to get there with a normal car (not 4x4). There's no air-conditioning in the camper, but a big roof built over the camper provides shade from the sun and electrical fans made it liveable inside and we all slept the hole night through. Jenny and her son and daughter were very friendly and helpful at arrival, and Jenny was fast at answering our request to stay, witch was important to us since we needed accommodation the same night that the request was sent. And last but not least, it was fun staying in a camper, a bit different experience from the rest of the hostels and hotels around.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience at Jenny's trailer! We didn't realize that Jenny also runs a Soda/Cafe out of the same property, which was a pleasant surprise to us... we had breakfast (awesome!) and dinner (also awesome!) while staying at the trailer. The trailer itself exceeded our expectations... this was a small pit-stop on a 3-week tour of CR, and it was actually one of the better ones (we stayed in a variety of accommodations including hotels, rental homes and apartments). Why? The stove worked, the coffee maker worked, the fans worked, the WIFI worked - excellent - and our favorite part? The fantastic (private) furnished deck on the trailer! This was where we spent our evenings, and felt thoroughly at home. Jenny as a host was extremely welcoming and helpful... she is an incredible cook (with an incredible kitchen!!) and made us feel very at home :)

When we arrived, we found the cafe very peaceful and relaxing compared to Malpais where we had stayed the previous two nights. We booked the trailer for a week but ended up staying only one night. Upon arrival, Jenny was very nice and hospitable. We waited for about 30 min for her to clean the trailer since she had had guests the night before and we arrived about noon. The cafe is beautifully situated amid tropical trees and flowers, and it was very pleasant to wait in the shade until the trailer was ready. We were pleased to find that the trailer had some privacy--a nice little deck in front that was partially shielded by some greenery. The trailer was clean and in good repair, but the sleeping area was very warm. There was a TV with cable and a fan in the sleeping area (wifi was also available). After settling in, we took a walk to check out Cabuya. We were looking for a quieter, more peaceful scene than Malpais but we were definitely surprised by what we found. There isn't really a town in Cabuya. In addition to Cafe el Coyote, there is a bakery/cafe, a bar, a market, and a souvenir shop--that's it! The beaches are rocky and the waves are non-existent. We had absolutely no idea what we were going to do there for an entire week. My girlfriend had not been feeling well, a combination of exhaustion from travelling, sleep-deprivation from the heat and humidity, and a horrible headache and body aches that we later discovered were likely Dengue fever. We decided to cut our trip short and return home early. We notified Jenny of our decision around 6pm and promptly modified our airbnb reservation so that other people could book the trailer if interested. We were extremely respectful and apologetic upon telling Jenny that we were leaving, but she did not give us the same treatment in return. She implored us to give her a good review, but the gracious hostess we had met earlier in the day had vanished. She questioned us relentlessly about why we were leaving and expressed her sadness that we wouldn't be able to experience "all" that Cabuya had to offer. The one thing that Jenny did for us which we appreciated very much was to book us for a trip back to the airport. We got a nice shuttle ride plus a hotel room (breakfast included) and a taxi to the airport the next morning for $140 total for both of us. One more note about our experience in the trailer. The shower is freezing cold and leaks all over the kitchen! Even though the weather was very warm, the water was icy cold and extremely unpleasant. Water leaked out and flooded the bathroom floor and ran out into the kitchen. I strongly suggest that you visit before making a reservation and be prepared to read or watch TV because there's not much else to do in Cabuya.
