For SXSW! I am listing my master bedroom with attached bathroom. I will be home during this time in the spare room. I have done SXSW for years and also know Austin very well if you need tips and tricks on navigating such.
I have a master bedroom with an attached private full bathroom so you will have your privacy. I will also be in the home in the next door spare room. You will have use with me of my kitchen and dining area and also laundry room if you need to wash and dry stuff. The bedroom you will use has a queen sized Select Comfort mattress where you can adjust the level of firmness. It also has a commercial grade elliptical machine if you need a work-out. My home has high speed U-verse wireless internet and U-Verse TV (no TV in the master bedroom though--just living room and spare room). I also have a wireless Blu-ray player with a big screen TV and surround sound in the living room. My kitchen has a grind and brew coffee maker. The community I live in is a gated community named Edgewick and is near downtown. You can search our development name to get an idea. The #7 bus line picks up right outside the development so you can get downtown in about 20 minutes for a buck or two. Or you can bike downtown using bike paths. By car downtown is 5 minutes. Cab rides are affordable to downtown or South Congress from where I live and of course Austin has Uber and Lyft. My house is between 1.5 - 2 miles downtown. If you want to swim my community has a pool too.

Interaction with Guests
As much or as little as needed. I'm friendly or can leave you be if you need that. I know Austin pretty well and have done SXSW for years so I can help with that.
We are constantly changing!
Yes, the #7 bus line that goes downtown is right outside the development.
The main thing I ask is to be respectful.
Stayed at Heather's place when I was down in Austin for SXSW (by the time I got my act together to go to the conference, all the hotels were booked). It ended up being a great setup...Heather's place was close to downtown (right on a bus line or a very cheap cab) and the airport and the accommodations were very comfortable. Heather also has an impressive library of music, movies and books so there is plenty to relax with if you don't want to make the trek to downtown. She knows Austin inside and out and is very helpful in getting you where you need to go. This was my first Airbnb experience and a very positive one.
