James is a real nice host and very accommodating! From
Enquiry to booking, he has been very prompt in response and very helpful.
James allowed me and my friend to check out at a real late timing and trusted us to pass the keys to his friend who works nearby.. That allow us to explore NYC for a full day before heading to airport.
The place is cozy and comfy and I have no issue at all even in the snow storm and low temperature experience in NYC in years!
The climb up to James' place is not a big issue too and is in fact a food workout after heavy dinners in NY.
The house rules are simple and reasonable and I am thankful for such a value for money accommodation in NYC!
Will surely stay with James in future and lower east side is so charming with nice cafés all around!

Overall a very good experience. Nice bed, clean room/Apt . Close to the City . James is easy to reach . The room looks EXACTLY Like the pictures, you Wont be dissapointed. To top it all off its 10 mins walk from the F train that Will take you to most Common destinations :)
This was our first time using Airbnb and James was a wonderful host. The room was clean and furnished with necessities like drawers, hangers, hooks, and towels with the addition of lantern lights for more ambiance during our stay. The bed was also very comfy. We were not in the apartment for most of the stay, but the apartment is clean and quiet.
Warning: The stairs are killer especially after touring NYC for 20 hours, but the location cannot be beat! Close to the subway and great eateries. We would highly recommend Jame's apartment!
James was a wonderful host. He left us detailed directions on what to do once we arrived. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet James due to opposing schedules, but he was always very communicative and helpful. The apartment is neat, and the room we stayed in was also nicely made. We really appreciated the extra space heater for the winter! James' place was also on a quiet side street close enough to the subway, so that we didn't have problems getting anywhere. James also left some great recommendations about what there was to do in the area. The only thing we found stressful was dragging our suitcases up to the top floor--but that can't be avoided! We would recommend James' place again. Thank you, James!
We had a wonderful stay in James apartment! The room is quiet and cosy. James is a very kind and relaxed guy. He gave us good recommendations for places to eat in the neighborhood, very nice! The apartment is located very well and great connection to other parts of the city. We definitely recommend James apartment!
We had a wonderful stay at James' apartment! James is a very pleasant host. We instantly felt welcome and free to do our own thing at the same time. He gave us good recommendations for places to eat in the neighborhood, very nice for breakfast or diner! The location of the apartment is great as well. Nice neighborhood, and great connection to other parts of the city. We definitely recommend James apartment!
James was an incredible host. The moment I arrived, he took my suitcase up all 6 flights of stairs. And might I add that my suitcase was not very light haha. Anyways, he was very helpful when I got settled in. Gave me his recommendations of all the cool places that he enjoyed in the area. I checked a few of them out and was definitely not disappointed. All in all, James helped to make my stay very enjoyable. I am actually looking to move to NYC, so I figured that staying in an actual NYC apt would be perfect. And I was right! Cheers to you, James, for being an awesome host! I highly recommend staying in his apt to anyone looking to stay in a real NYC apt!
James was a wonderful and reliable host, very quick with communications, he helped me with my luggage, had a list ready with recommendations and information. The room was perfect for my stay, very clean and comfortable. Very good location, a lot of bars nearby and the subway is only a couple of blocks away. I definitely recommend staying here!
Wonderful tiny bedroom with everything one might need - the area is fantastic. It's a bit noisy, but I don't think that Manhattan is supposed to be quiet ;)
