In our well-equipped kitchen, you'll find everything you need to whip up fabulous meals. With a 2-burner gas range, a countertop air fryer and oven, a farmhouse sink, and a full-size fridge, you'll have all the tools at your fingertips. Simply open the drawers to discover an array of essentials – just bring along your favorite food and drinks, and you're all set to enjoy a delightful culinary experience.
Experience the epitome of dome living in our meticulously furnished living area, where high-end furniture complements the main attraction: breathtaking views through the expansive panoramic window. Positioned to face east, this window ensures abundant natural light throughout the day, while our AC/Heat mini-split and electric fireplace keep the temperature just right.
At the heart of the dome lies the spacious bathroom – the only four-walled room in the structure. It's the perfect retreat for preparing for the day ahead or unwinding after exploring nature's wonders.
When it's time to retire for the night, sink into the plush queen-size bed tucked away on the far side of the dome. Sleeping in our dome is akin to finding solace in a serene cave – cool, calm, and undisturbed. Upon request, we're happy to provide an additional queen-size air mattress with linens for added convenience.
Unplug and unwind at our retreat, where the pace of life slows down, allowing you to relish the simpler joys. Our enchanting dome is nestled in a secluded forested holler on our sprawling 12-acre property. Surrounded by hills on three sides, the dome provides a perfect balance of shaded tranquility and expansive open sky, ideal for stargazing on clear nights.
No mountain retreat is complete without cozying up next to a crackling fire pit, and ours sits alongside a serene babbling creek, enhancing the ambiance of your outdoor experience. We provide all the firewood and starters you need, so simply sink into the comfortable furniture, unwind, and let the soothing sounds of nature wash over you.
Accessing our slice of paradise is a breeze, thanks to our long private gated driveway that runs parallel to the creek. You'll find ample parking space, ensuring convenience and peace of mind throughout your stay.
Up on the north hill is our small boutique farm and our home. While we do live on site we are not in sight. A short walk away and a guest can spend time with our large flock of chickens who provide you with fresh eggs or our friendly Kunekune pigs. They love treats and belly rubs.
Conveniently situated on the border of Madisonville and Tellico Plains, The Poplar offers easy access to a plethora of unforgettable nature experiences. Just a short drive away, you'll find the renowned Tellico Farm Market, where you can indulge in fresh produce and delectable baked goods sourced from local Mennonite communities.
Venture a bit further and you'll arrive in Tellico Plains, the gateway to the breathtaking Cherohala Skyway. Embark on a journey along this scenic route to discover majestic waterfalls, picturesque hiking trails, and awe-inspiring mountain overlooks.
For water enthusiasts, there's the option to float down the Tellico River or brave the rapids on a thrilling white-water rafting excursion along the Hiwassee River. * No Pets Allowed
* No Smoking
* No Cell Service need to set up wifi calling and you'll be fine.
* High Speed Wifi
* No Trailers
* We don't charge a cleaning fee but ask you follow the check out guide
* This is a tent at the end of the day; on REALLY cold nights it can get chilly in the dome (60's usually). Heavy socks or slippers are recommended, the floors get cold.
* Outside bathhouse is usable most of the time; when the temperatures are too low it will be not usable. Mostly November to March due to freezing temps.
* At this time we are not equipped to charge any EV vehicles.

* Expect animals bugs and critters
* You may have a stray or neighbor's dog come by for a visit
* Please explore the walking paths at your own risk
* On a rare occasion the power will go out due to storms etc. We will do our
best to get you back on.
* Plan a head for groceries there are stores 10-20 minutes away
* You will people out on ATV's
* You will hear hunters
* You will see flags that you do not agree while out driving; this has nothing to do with our property or who we are.
Guest access
You'll have complete access to the dome and private drive, with a code provided for door access. Should you encounter any issues, we're nearby to assist. If you'd like to meet our farm animals, just let us know, and we'll gladly introduce them to you.
