We love the quiet and the rural setting but are not too far from the town of Bridgnorth where you can enjoy the market, pubs, shopping and nightlife.
You will need a car for getting about or you can borrow a bike!

We had a wonderful stay at Duken Courtyard Cottage. The cottage is lovely and we had everything we needed. The cottage was extremely well decorated. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in and our little boy loved sleeping in a "big boy bed". The box of toys and games cupboard was a lovely unexpected touch.
Phillip and his family were very welcoming and always on hand if required. The garden was a great bonus as our little boy loves nothing more than playing football.
The only thing I would say is that this property should be listed as a one bedroom that sleeps 4, rather than a 2 bedroom - not that it was a problem for us.
We hope to visit again one day in the future.
Thanks for a lovely stay.

Duken Cottage was an adorable location, very comfortable, and easy to get to from Liverpool. View of the paddock was lovely to wake up to! I was sick the duration of our trip so I did not get to explore the area as much as I wanted, but what I saw of the area was gorgeous and just a short drive to Bridgnorth and The Iron Bridge area. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a countryside getaway.
Lovely country cottage in delightful tranquil setting but only 10minutes to Bridgnorth. Very clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. We loved our stay here. Recommend the plough claverley (Thursday night steak for two and a bottle of wine £24) also the Kings head Bridgnorth but be sure to book at both.
Philip was a charming host with a great eye for detail - a pint of milk for our cup of tea after a long car journey, popping over to help us work the shower when we got stuck. The cottage is cost, set in beautiful countryside. There are horses in the paddock and plenty of room to run around in the garden. All in all a lovely weekend away. I heartily recommend it. Warmest wishes, the Robertsons :-)))
Me and my boyfriend came to stay for our 3 year anniversary and was perfect. Lovely and quiet and the cottage was exactly we what we wanted. Will recommend to all friends and family.
Very pleasant and well equipped cottage with lovely views, and an enormous and very comfortable bed! Philip made us very welcome. We enjoyed our few days walking in the area, Bridgnorth is an interesting town, don't miss the cream teas at the Winding House tearoom next to the cliff railway.
I am originally from Manchester but have settled in Shropshire with my wife Sarah and two children Toby and William. We have traveled and lived abroad in Munich and Paris.
