About this listing

A warm and comfortable 13 room B & B with family & pet friendly rooms. Epicureans delight in the farmhouse breakfast. Mountain bike trails, hiking and swimming are only steps away! Come for the mountains, stay for the valley! The Mad River Valley, that is. :)

The space

A classic Vermont farmhouse nestled on the banks of the Mad River. Our thirteen comfortable guest rooms are each individually decorated with a collection of country antiques and hand-made quilts. Included with the room pricing is a scrumptious farmhouse breakfast and afternoon treats. We specialize in Vermont family hospitality and gracious service. The Inn is surrounded by walking trails, snowshoe and mountain bike trails, and a swimming hole in the Mad River.

Lareau Farm is home to American Flatbread restaurant, which specializes in all natural wood fired pizza baked in a primitive wood fired oven. Inn guests get preferential seating at the restaurant...and there is always a bonfire blazing for you to hang out!

The Mad Bus operates during the winter months with rides to the Sugarbush Resort (Lincoln Peak & Mt Ellen) and Mad River Glen Ski Area. Come stay and play!

Please note: We are a fully licensed, inspected and insured property with the state of Vermont.

We spent the night along with some friends for my husband's birthday and it was lovely. It was an ideal place to spend time before and after grabbing dinner at American Flatbread. The rooms were very quiet at night and I think the place was full. Breakfast was delicious, check in and out very easy, everyone was incredibly friendly and Lisbeth was very easy to communicate with. Thanks for a great stay!

My husband and I stayed for a night at the inn. It was absolutely fantastic! We immediately felt at home and the hospitality was wonderful. Lisabeth got us a reservation at the American Flatbread which was also so delicious. We would definitely reccommend a stay here if you are in the area.

Always love visiting the Mad River Valley and Lareau Farm did not disappoint. With easy access to one of the best pizza places (really so much more) and plant of space to rest after a day of skiing this was a great place to enjoy the weekend.

Response from Lareau Farm:
Hey Chris - I mailed the glasses but they got returned... can you send me another address? The post master noted that there was not a mailbox at address?
