The inn is surrounded by, walking trails, snowshoe and mountain bike trails, and a swimming hole in the Mad River. We also share the property with the original American Flatbread restaurant specializing in "all natural wood fired pizza baked in a primitive wood fired oven." Inn guest get preferential seating at the restaurant...and there is always a bonfire blazing for you to hang out!

Interaction with Guests

I live on the property. I cook most of the breakfasts, sometimes it's Dave my partner. Usually pass by for a hello in the evening.
I like to foster a sense of "please, make yourself at home type of experience." We even have bonfire pits for you to hang around!.

The Neighborhood

Pastoral Vermont at it's best. Although we are 1/2 mile from Waitsfield Village, it does not feel like you are near any one.You can walk to the Farmers Market - Saturday's mid May to Mid October.
Many trails and paths for hiking, walking and biking. The area hosts many fabulous restaurants with farm to table cuisine AND plenty of places to drink good VT beers. Look up the website for the Mad River Valley to see all the great offerings.
