You will LOVE this charming cottage - its adorable and brand new to our cottage collection.
Drifting Cottage is offered as a monthly rental.
Drifting is located in historic Baldwin Park neighborhood of Savannah. The cottage is tucked back off the street. We are about 1.4 miles to the south end of Forsyth Park in the Victorian District and about 3 miles to the northern border of the Landmark Historic District on River Street.
I must let you know that the stairs in the kitchen going up to the sleeping loft are EXTREMELY steep – there is a secure handrail to help you along the climb. It may not be for the faint of heart!
Baldwin Park is a charming turn of the century community with a mixture of bungalows, cottages, brick apartment homes, and four square charmers! It is more of a "true" residential area. This little cottage is tucked back off the street.
Baldwin Park is not a metered- neighborhood so parking on-street is free and hassle free in this location. If you’d like to have a “walk around the neighborhood” our address is 716 E. 40thStreet.
The total rate inclusive of tax, damage insurance, and cleaning is $. Please note, this does not include the (website hidden) booking fee or $50 pet fee.

So AWESOME! The cottage is just magical! I had the best time. Good location. Quiet. Charming. I loved the basket of Savannah movies... watched FORREST GUMP for the first time in years. I did not want to leave. Everything was easy.Thank you for such a special experience!
A perfect vacation cottage, clean, private and cozy. Area is safe and neighbors friendly. Everything that is needed for a longer stay is provided and our small dogs were welcomed. The tables and chairs outside were well used as we sat out having our coffee watching the birds.
Thank you for a great stay.

We loved the cottage. It was well appointed, and suited our needs perfectly. We particularly enjoyed the fact that it was set off the street, with mature trees in front of it. This made is seem so different from the rest of the homes on the street, and made it more comfortable to sit out in front with our 2 year old and our dog who both had some room to roam. The stairs are steep - as many people mention, and the loft is small but really cozy with very comfortable beds. The neighborhood is pretty nice, it is 2.3 miles to walk downtown, but only about a mile to the north end of Forsyth Park. There is a small playground, and Baldwin Park just 2 blocks away which was nice for us too. Lots of great restaurant options nearby. It seems that midtown is in the process of gentrification, which is nice at least for us as tourists. Would definitely recommend others to stay!
We had a great holiday get away at this little gem! Savannah and Tybee had a lot to offer, and it was great to come home to this cozy little cottage when we needed a break. Thanks for all the thoughtful details this place offered us!
Laurie was very easy to reach when we had a problem with the heat- it went out during our stay making everything very cold! There were some positive things about the house- the security system is easy to use, the neighborhood is relatively ok, there is a washer and dryer on site. BUT, the house is incredibly small- tinnnny! I think one person could be happy staying here but two is a stretch. Also, as far as amenities, there are none other than wireless. Our experience wasn't bad but it wasn't great either....
This was my first time in Savannah, and Drifting met all my expectations. It looks exactly like the pictures and is perfectly sized for a couple. Laurie was super helpful in answering questions and providing check-in information before the trip. I couldn't ask for a better host!
I took this trip with my girlfriend, who fell in love with the cottage's furnishings and decor. She previously lived in Savannah and commented on how quiet Drifting's neighborhood is compared to other parts of the city - something I appreciate as a light sleeper!
I would definitely book Drifting again on my next trip to Savannah, and would recommend it to any couple that doesn't have issues going up and down loft-style stairs (which are actually pretty cool!)
"Drifting" cottage was THE absolute perfect choice for our first trip to Savannah. Laurie was exceptional to work with and met our every need. She really thought of everything... from the helpful information provided for her guests (including fur-kids), to all items provided at the cottage.
i highly recommend booking with Laurie. You can't go wrong!
We can't wait to go back!

Laurie moved back to Georgia to begin work with the Georgia Historic Preservation Office in the tax incentives division and then at the Georgia Trust for Preservation, both in Atlanta. During this time, Laurie started spending countless weekends scouting homes with friends and family, Laurie quickly realized that she had a knack and passion for real estate & renovating homes and put her background in preservation to work while also pursuing a Masters in City & Regional Planning at Georgia Tech. After graduating from Tech, Laurie quickly found a niche in the Atlanta market working with Novare Group doing sales and marketing for four years where she held top sales awards.
In 2008 family and the coastal lifestyle beckoned and Laurie moved back to Savannah where she joined Keller Williams Realty as an Associate Broker. She quickly took up residence in the friendly Ardsley Park neighborhood & started volunteering with Historic Savannah Foundation & created a vacation rental business.
Laurie now has her own brokerage business and enjoys spending time outdoors, running with her dog, Tondee, and soaking up all that the Savannah lifestyle has to offer.
