The place is convenient. We were a group of 6 people and stayed in 2 apartments. One apartment has 2 bedrooms with a living room, kitchen, a bathroom with toilet. The other apartment has 1 bedroom, 1 living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and separate toilet. The apartments are next to the other. The place is located near to 2 metro stations. During the period we stayed, a metro station was closed for maintenance so we could use another station. A big supermarket is on the other side of the main road which can be crossed by underground tunnel.
The e-mail response from the start was a bit late so we were worried whether the place was still available but after that the communication was effective.
Alla's colleague helped us arranging a minivan taxi which was very helpful. They also helped us carried our luggage both during arrival and departure from the apartments. Best of all, our flight was in the evening and Alla allowed us to use the smaller apartment until 4 pm. Thanks Alla.
We stay in Alla's apartment for 5 nights in May 2015. This apartment is a good choice to stay in Moscow. Location is great, 400-500 m to 2 Smolenskaya metro stations, dark blue and light blue line, which lead to most travel places in Moscow. And Arbat street is just next to the station. One big supermarket is just 100 m on the apartment's street.
Alla apartments are on the 2nd floor but not too hard to bring luggages up and down. They look same as photos shown on the website. You might enjoy the garden in front of the building. Tulip and some kind of yellow flowers bloom when we were there and that's awesome. Wifi is good. Kitchenware is enough for cooking. One thing we don't like is heater in every bedroom not work and that make us very cold at night.
Alla and her friends kindly help me so much. She contact airport transfer for us and I suggest this way if your group is 3 above. Her friends kindly suggest me many things on the first day.
For the next trip to visit Moscow, I would stay here again. Thank you Alla.
The list description was accurate. The apt. located on a quite street, 5. min. walk to Smolenskaya metro station. The neighborhood is very central (Arbat). Alla and her colleague Alexander were very responsive. We recommend this listing to family's and big groups.
We were 6 people (3 couples) staying in Alla’s apartment (2 bedroom apt + 1 bedroom apt, both with complete bathroom). Great location, very close to the metro station Smolenskaya and the beginning of Arbat street, with lot of shops and restaurants. We had no problems in the checkin, we re-confirmed with Alla the time at our arrival to Moscow and she sent us a person (Aleks) who was very hepful and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment. They also helped us the last day with the transfer to the airport. I definitely would recommend the apartment for staying in Moscow.
Our experience was terrible. I would not recommend this place.
Alla wanted us to pay her 500 US dollar security deposit which is against airbnb's terms and conditions. She did not come to inspect the unit on departure so not sure what would have happened if we had paid her.
Alla had a four page contract for us to sign on arrival which was totally unnecessary.
Both units were filthy. There wasn't anything clean in the kitchen. There was grease everywhere. The dishes were greasy, the exhaust fan was dripping grease, the pots and pans were greasy. The fridge smelt of sour dairy. It had mould in it.
The dishwasher in the one bed unit had a note in it written in Russian and there was stale water sitting in it which stank.
Alla needs to be more honest with the description. This is two separate units with no interconnecting door.
The ad says there is a lift in the building which is of no use as it starts at level 1 and goes to level 2 and these units are between levels 1 and 2.
The large bed is jammed in between three walls so there is only one side for two people to get in and out so you have to climb over each other in the middle of the night if you get up to go to the toilet.
It was around 10pm when Alla was leaving and we asked her about supermarkets. I knew the ad said two but we had no idea where they were. She was most unhelpful and said there was one across the road which was an eight lane road and said this was very expensive and then she said just have a walk around for the other ones. It was clear she didn't want to help.
I complained to airbnb about how dirty the place was and as I said to them, if this was a hotel I would have walked out and asked for my money back but I knew Alla was not about to let that happen.
I wish there was someway I could upload the photos so you could see I am not exaggerating.
On the day we left Alla was meant to organise a car for us to go to the station. We waited 45 minutes for it to arrive.
We were a group of 8 people staying at Alla´s apartments and we had a great stay. Alla responded immediately to messages and answered every question we had. The rooms are seperated into two apartments, which was perfect for us. The metro station is very close and also supermarkets or restaurants are nearby. Therefore I can highly recommend it.
