Thank you and enjoy!
Bedrooms are very comfortable and the view of Camel Valley is fantastic. We all had a great time for our 3 night stay at this beautiful home.
Listing was perfectly in synch with the experience. Pool was lovely. Hot tub a great addition.
We had a wonderful time at his home in Carmel. In such a beautiful and serene setting, it's the kind of place that you can just hang around at for hours and feel like you're getting away. The wrap-around deck and views are spectacular, and the wildlife on the property add a nice touch. Barbara was a wonderful host -- very good communication and provided a lot of useful information about the home and the area.
We had four generations coming together for our vacation. Great Grandma was meeting her great grandson for the first time. This was a wonderful home to gather and visit. The large living/dining area was great for our grandson to crawl around and explore. Note - the house is not baby proofed but with many adults watching we had no problem. The home even had a den (a fifth bedroom without the closet) which we used as the baby's room and his parents took the bedroom next to it. This place really worked out well. And, the views are gorgeous!
We had a wonderful stay in Carmel Valley Refuge, hosted by Barbara Sayad, and cannot wait to return! We HIGHLY recommend this house and Barbara as a host. The listing was very accurate and Barbara was readily available to answer any questions before and during our stay. We were running the Big Sur Marathon and the location was perfect as it was close to the morning pick up bus and to the finish line in Carmel. We were able to relax before and after the race and enjoy the beautiful views from the porch. We took advantage of the BBQ and spent as much time as possible outdoors to enjoy the beautiful setting. We loved the open layout and cooked together constantly, while catching up. We were unable to take advantage of the pool and spa as we didn't stay long enough, but I would love to come back during the summer and spend more time by the pool. Overall, this was by far one of our favorite trips.
Absolutely beautiful property and top notch hosting! Our group rented Barbara's house for a cycling event in Laguna seca. The house was perfect. Some highlights included: Huge deck with a view, Pool, hot tub, large dinning area, nice grill, off the beaten path. Host was great with timely communication. Even shipped my lost watch back to me when I left it there. Will come back next year. Thank you Barbara, our stay was wonderful

About the Host, Barbara
Twenty years ago, we purchased this 1953 post adobe ‘fixer-upper’ and created a home that has become a haven and retreat for all with whom we share company. Because the outside is where we have chosen to spend most of our time, the gardens, deck, and pool area have become an extension of the property. We welcome you to this slice of paradise.
