Barbara's place was spacious and beautiful. It was a very nice private retreat for my extended family as we explored the central coast. I would recommend it to any large party.
Our experience staying at Barbara's house exceeded our expectations. We came with 7 adults and a toddler, and the space was perfect for us. We cooked our meals there and found all the kitchen items and utensils that we needed. Even cleaning supplies and items you wouldn't think of were available. It was chilly so we didn't use the pool or garden, but the deck was lovely, and we enjoy a good view! Barbara had thought of everything, including portable heaters for the bedrooms, and she was available and responsive to emails. The house has wheelchair accessibility, which we needed.
Our two night stay at Barbara's home was delightful. The home is beautiful and comfortably accommodated 3 couples and our 2 small grandchildren. Flowers and seasonal decorations welcomed us for our pre- Christmas visit. The kitchen is well equipped and allowed us to cook meals for the whole family which we enjoyed at the large farm table surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Carmel Valley. Carmel by the Sea and Point Lobos are only minutes away. We would love to be there again when the weather is warmer and could eat outside on the large decks over looking the valley below. Barbara made herself available for any questions we had during our stay and was delightful to deal with. We highly recommend this listing and have told others about it already.
Our visit was great! Barbara made us feel welcome; the location was good and the house functioned just as we hoped. In November we got to enjoy the deck some but always could enjoy the views from inside. Plenty of space for different groupings of activities and people.
My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at Barbara's gorgeous Carmel Valley house. The view is spectacular, and the house is spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a cozy weekend cooking dinners, hiking, and playing games by the fire.
Good communications. Good directions for finding the house. Helpful booklet of information inside the house. Spectacular view from the deck. Very quiet and inviting. Felt like home.
We've had such a wonderful, relaxing stay in Barbara's Carmel home. The check in process was very easy and communication was great. A lovely end to our stay in California. Thank you Barbara!

Twenty years ago, we purchased this 1953 post adobe ‘fixer-upper’ and created a home that has become a haven and retreat for all with whom we share company. Because the outside is where we have chosen to spend most of our time, the gardens, deck, and pool area have become an extension of the property. We welcome you to this slice of paradise.
