The place was just right. We only stayed for one night on our way across the US. We arrived late, at 10:45, and Karen was friendly and welcoming. It's too bad we had to leave early because the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and so was Karen' company. Communication with Karen was effective. We recommend the place warmly.
She said, "I want to live here."
He said, "I read all the reviews, and even checked out Karen's B&B website. So I was expecting and immaculate room and wonderful stay. Throw in excellent communication, and that's exactly what we got.
"We look forward to staying at the Corner House our next trip to Lexington. The Horse Room was terrific. Even so, we might stay in the Suite next time; all three rooms have their own charm.
And as other reviews state, the breakfasts were great."
My daughter Daniela and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the Corner House with Karen Pedigo. The house was beautiful and our room very cozy. The neighborhood is comfortable, good parking, and the house is very close to town. Karen was very kind and personable, the breakfast delicious. A wonderful experience. Thank you KAREN!
My daughter and I enjoyed our (too brief!) stay at Karen's Horse Room a great deal. Prior to our visit, Karen was very responsive to any inquiry I had, and was very willing to accommodate our slightly late-ish schedule. The room was well appropriated, comfortable and very clean, as was the across the hall bathroom. Breakfast was creative, ample and delicious, and we enjoyed Karen's hospitality and gift for bringing guests together and encouraging new friendships. We hope to return to Nicholasville and to one of Karen's properties.
Lovely B&B in a quaint but busy little area outside of Lexington. Our room and separate bath were very comfortable and clean. Was able to wash our clothes! Karen is very engaging in conversation and very knowledgeable of the area. Her breakfasts are a treat within themselves! So enjoyed staying there!
The Horse Room -- and the entire house -- are a delight to the eye, especially for someone who loves antiques, beautiful fireplaces, and tasteful decor. Karen herself could not be more helpful and generous with her time. She has all kinds of literature available about Civil War sites and other attractions in the area. Chatting with her over breakfast was great fun, and the food she presented (especially the french toast with fresh strawberries on top) would have made a great cover for a food magazine! Everything was spotless and inviting. We will definitely return if our travels take us that way again and have already recommended the Horse Room to friends.
Had a delightful stay with Karen at the Corner House in the Horse Room. Karen was great with making sure she was there to greet us even though our arrival time was delayed. We enjoyed the full breakfast, especially since it gave us a chance to sit and chat with Karen in the morning. The room was delightful and even though the private bathroom was across the hall, I felt like I was at home! Would stay with Karen again without hesitation, it was a wonderful visit.
