The host was very welcoming! She even let us drop off our cold food early in the morning so that we could go explore the wineries.
Gwendolyn's house was very comfortable and convenient to downtown. It had everything we needed for the weekend and we enjoyed our stay.
We loved our stay at Gwendolyn's home! It was beautiful and full of light! The kitchen was fantastic, with a gas stove and a coffee grinder. Gwendolyn was kind enough to leave us a wide range of teas and some Shenandoah Joe's coffee, in addition to some breakfast options (our daughters loved the toast!). A perk we didn't consider was that her home was literally a half block from an awesome playground--my small daughters were thrilled! Very conveniently located in a great neighborhood.
It was a quiet neighborhood with across-the-street parking. Gwendolyn made us feel at home and took the time to show us around and was very generous with all of her belongings.
Gwendolyn's place was cute, comfortable and conveniently-located exactly what we were looking for for our one-night stay in Charlottesville. She was easy to get in touch with and everything was just as described. Our host had left out coffee and toast for us, and had even set up the futon so we had plenty of sleeping space. Gwendolyn made the process easy and we could not recommend her Bellmont home more. Would love to stay here for a future Charlottesville trip. Thanks so much!
We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy Belmont home. We got there in the midst of a snowstorm, and appreciated being able to make ourselves coffee and toast. A very walkable location to all of CVille's restaurants and amenities, but quiet and comfy.
A true home.
That's the only way I can describe Gwendolyn's lovely abode, which served as the perfect retreat for my girlfriend and me on a weekend getaway.
It was immaculate, cozy, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen, by the way, is one of the best we've seen in an Airbnb, and we used it extensively.
Gwendolyn's place was perfect.

After a life of traveling to and living in many places, I chose Charlottesville as my hometown because it is awesome! I now run a restaurant and own a sweet little home in Bellmont with a view of the not so far off mountains. I choose to host for Airbnb because I enjoy meeting people and still being a part of the traveling community. My years of travel and hospitality experience help me to know how to keep my home inviting and comfortable for guests. I spend many of my off work hours reading, hiking, tinkering on the house, or hanging out with friends around town.
