Richard has a lot of knowledge about the area. A good resource The room is off the living room so when you leave it more times than not you will run into Richard. He used headphones with the TV so noise is not a problem.

Our stay at Richard's house was very short but lovely and very convenient, as it was a few minutes away from the ferry terminal. Richard is very welcoming and interesting, and made us feel at ease. Many thanks Richard!

Richard knew we needed a flexible check-in time so he provided a lockbox with the key for us to access upon arrival in case he wasn't home. He let me use the washer even though we were only there for one night, which was very much appreciated! He offered us coffee and tea and had items out for breakfast. Very comfortable house and very nice host. I enjoyed learning the history of the area from Richard and enjoyed chatting with him during our short stay. He recommended we walk down to the quay and walk along the beautiful port and we enjoyed the walk. It is a very nice, quiet town, but probably pretty lively at the pubs along the quay at night. We were just too tired to visit the pub that night.

I am a retired civil servant, Poole born and bred, although I have lived and worked away at times. I am divorced and living alone and I am very happy living in Poole because, as well as being my home town, it caters for a wide range of interests and in particular it offers sailing on its magnificent harbour. I am an active member of a local yacht club where I racing in my dingy and crew on other members cruisers. Being of a gregarious nature, I particularly enjoy the social side of club life, .

I play in a band with a group of old friends. We range from 'bluegrass' through 'country', 'folk' and a bit of 'rock and roll'.

I am an avid listener to the BBC with my default station being Radio 4 closely followed by Radio 3. I also enjoy television but I am rarely at home to watch it.
