The space

Fully furnished, two story cottage on Napa Creek, two miles from the center of town. The upstairs bedroom has eclectic furniture from the thirties, including a desk and a comfortable queen bed. In the downstairs living room is a queen sofa-bed, a large flat-screen TV, and a drop-leaf table that seats four for dining or games. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and dishes and silverware for four. There's a washer and dryer and computer and cell phone access. The owner's original watercolors decorate the walls. The location is scenic, quiet and private. Deer can be seen at any time of day. There's a path to the creek. Within walking distance is an upscale grocery store, a restaurant, a coffee/yogurt shop, an animal farm, the Carolyn Parr Nature Museum, and a 110 acre city park with hiking trails and a panoramic view of the city.

For shoppers, the Napa Factory stores are a little over a mile away. Good restaurants are plentiful within a two to three mile radius.

The Cottage by the Creek is situated in a scenic area that's close to town and only a mile from the freeway.

Guest access

There is a path that leads down to the creek. On the deck by the cottage there is a picnic table and a gas barbecue for your private use.

A nice, quiet and beautiful place that is just minutes away from Downtown Napa. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the place and ability to have the windows open at night to hear the hum of nature. Monroe was there to greet us as we arrived and was great getting to know more about the place and the history of the property. He also sent us great directions, as it could be difficult to find the place. We did notice that Waze couldn't accurately find the place, however, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps did the trick. One note for anyone that has an Arachnophobia, this place might not be for you (since it is in the country type area). Otherwise, my wife and I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a nice, quiet and secluded vacation spot.

The cabin was a fantastic place to spend a few days. Close enough to get into Napa easily either on foot or by car (out better yet, an Uber). Nice and isolated, very comfortable, would recommend to anyone.

We thoroughly appreciated Monroe's ease of hosting, making the cottage easily available without having to be there to check-in in person, great directions to get there (it's a little tricky, nicely tucked back off the road), and his numerous spot-on suggestions for local eating spots. We also loved the location on the end of town near Westwood Hills Park...we enjoyed a morning hike to the top of the ridge every day before heading out for wine country tastings and lunches. The cottage was perfect, and Monroe and Joan are fantastic hosts! Thank you!

First time in napa and don't think we could have found a better place to stay. We celebrated our one year anniversary. We were away from all the noise but close enough to everything all at the same time! Perfect Perfect Perfect.

This place had so much character. We loved the quaint feeling of this cottage. It was clean and comfy with plenty of room. Monroe was a great host and was available to answer any questions we had. It was a short Uber ride to downtown. We will definitely add this to our favorites list.

We stayed for two nights at the cottage. The directions were clear - (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps isn't accurate so be sure to follow them. The location was quiet and a good match for me and my girlfriend - would have also served well for a longer stay in wine country. Downtown was easily accessible via driving or ridesharing. A great place to stay!
