Interaction with Guests
My family live on the same property so we are around the entire time and interacting with the guests like they are a part of our family.
It is a quiet and non touristy area surrounded by farms and rice paddies. A way from hectic city life, a scene of the true Bali.
We are living in rural Bali so there are no public transportation around us. We could easily arrange for all your transportation need with our reliable drivers who communicate well in English. We could design a great tours to explore the hidden beauty of Bali for you.
Other Things to Note
You are a part of our family, feel like at home!
We would need a copy of your passport for the registration at the local Authorities of having visitors staying in our home.
We only stayed with Wayan's family for a night but if we're ever in Bali again, it's the first place we'll come back to.
Wayan, his wife, and everyone in the compound was so lovely and welcoming. We felt so at home. Wayan picked us up from one location and dropped us off the next day too - he was very helpful. The food was the best we ate on our whole trip - don't bother going out for breakfast, lunch, or dinner because you won't find better food than you will here!
The room was beautifully designed, super comfortable, and very clean. The animals (roosters, dogs, cats etc.) go a little crazy in the early hours of the morning but we loved it.
Felt so comfortable with Wayan's friendly, hearty family. They care about the guests really much, and are willing to give a help you need! The garden was more than wonderful, needless to say. No distracting thoughts bother you in that beautiful place. And I loved the moment taking a walk with their two lovely dogs!
As many other reviewers have said, stay at Cozy Wayan if you want the true Balinese experience. We absolutely loved our stay with the Sueta family and plan to return the next time we go to Bali. We stayed with them for 4 nights for our entire stay in Bali and felt that we needed more time. Ayu and Wayan accommodate your every need including amazing local meals and knowledgeable drivers, and have helpful suggestions for where to go and what to do. Highlights were bike riding around their village for an afternoon and drinking palm wine with Wayan on our last night. You will see the kindness, openness, and experience true Balinese culture if you stay with them. We will be back!
Ayu & Wayan could not have made you feel more welcome. From the minute we arrived we were greeted with Ayu's smiling face and were approved by Bintang, Blackie and Fido. We chose to stay at Cozy because of the amazing reviews on airbnb and wanted to avoid busy tourist spots and experience real Balinese culture/surroundings. The positive reviews are all true. We were lucky to be invited to a wedding, cremation and other ceremonies during our stay. Can highly recommend the local walk to the rice paddies/temple with the 3 dogs as your guides. There is also a nice walk/bike ride to the Ayung river. We can highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to an authentic Balinese experience in beautiful surroundings. The accommodation as beautiful as the photos & was set in thick tropical gardens/jungle. Thanks Wayan, Ayu, Agus, Anta & lovely staff/drivers.
Wayan's Cozy Sueta is exactly that! It was clear that the family takes great pride in their property and want to ensure all guests feel welcome and at home. We had breakfast & dinner provided along with a driver readily available (for additional fee). The room was lovely and the outdoor shower was amazing. Wayan's garden is well tended and added to our experience. The room did not have AC but provided a fan. If the house were a bit closer to Ubud we would have stayed longer; it's about 25 min drive from town which made it hard for touristing!
If you're looking for a quiet place, tucked away in Bali then look no further! You'll be right at home here.
A simply wonderful experience that left me feeling relaxed, open and joyful. Positive living in a forest retreat you won't regret. You'll become part of the family, eating the best natural meals Bali can offer, activities for everyone from Chocolate factories to white water rafting. After a fun days adventuring you'll come home to a warm relaxing environment where dinner can be served with a message! It's perfect for those looking to get away from the tourists and connect with the true nature of Bali ^_^
I loved the peaceful villa very much. Host Wayan’s wife Ayu served us fresh fruits and coconuts banana pancakes for breakfast which I loved so much and miss a lot already. And Ayu cooked a lot of foods for health and organic dinner that I cannot be more happy to have. Their sons served us the dinner as well, and all family are so friendly and nice to us, which made us feel at home. They gave us a lot of great advices where to visit, and arranged the rafting tour and driving all according to our schedule. The villa itself were most beautiful and nature made one I have ever seen. I loved the place a lot and I would like to recommend it to everyone who visits Bali.
