The Space

This family Rome apartment is located on Via Margutta, just behind Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo. Spacious and comfortable, this apartment features an independent entrance. It contains all modern day living needs with a cozy touch.

At the first floor, this fully furnished gem features three bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with bathtub), a kitchen, and a living area (with a queen size day bed). In the sleeping area you can find one master bedroom with a king size bed and two double rooms with twin beds. All the rooms have its closet.

The apartment offers every kind of modern amenity, such as TV, Sky TV, Internet Wi-Fi, air conditioning, central heating and fireplace. The atmosphere is cozy, with a very comfortable living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

A large terrace overlooks the magnificent street of via Margutta, one of the most famous streets due to the many art galleries. The classic art and decor along with access to wireless internet make this a perfect place to relax in classic style with a modern touch. The most exclusive boutiques of Rome are waiting for you just outside the main door.

Location: The area near Via Margutta is a very classy, upscale area in the center of Rome and has been inhabited by many famous people including Picasso. Also it was the sight where the movie Roman Holidays was filmed. The area also hosts a famous exposition every year called 100 Painters of Via Margutta that showcases more than a 1,000 works from newest and oldest known artists.

This apartment is perfect for family or someone wanting to spend their time in the lap of luxury. With so much to do in the immediate area and in Rome, this elegant loft on Via Margutta provides an excellent space to spend your down time while you enjoy your very own “Roman Holiday”!

  • We loved this apartment! The location was great, the beds comfortable, the patio perfect. Mr Honey was super helpful - we accidentally set off the alarm and he was there quickly to turn it off, and when one of our group left something in the apartment, he made sure we could get back in to retrieve it. We were 7 people and it was a perfect fit. Definitely recommended!

  • Organization/Communication: Lorenzo as well as Honey are kind and helpful hosts, reacting fast and flexibly whenever we required their assistance, before and during our stay. Upon request, they organized an airport transfer by minibus for 5 adults and three little Kids (65 EUR, one way). Everything worked out smoothly.

Location: The flat is beautifully located in the pittoresque Via Margutta, walking distance from the Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo, both with metro station. From Piazza del Popolo access Villa Borgese, a cosy, extensive city park, great for picnics and featuring a zoo, therefore ideal for families. Small, but sufficiently equipped grocery stores are available in Via Vittoria (Carrefour) and Via della Croce (Despar).

Infrastructure: the apartment is well equipped, as described. Cleanliness, quality of furniture, beds and kitchen equipment are average. Here and there were/are little things that need/ed to be optimized. We informed the hosts on site and after our stay. They fixed what could be immediately done. And I am sure they will do so for those few things that require little bit more time :-) The terrace is not facing Via Margutta, but it's surrounded by house walls. However, it's a cosy kind of patio we enjoyed very much as quiet spot for reading, relaxing, refreshing aperitifs and candlelight dinners.

Summary: The apartment is a perfect choice for those that do not have luxurious pretensions, but are looking for a functional, nice apartment on an unique, central location. We had a great time at Lorenzo’s and Honey’s spot. It’s definitely a location that we would choose again.

  • Perfect organisation, great location, close to all venues. However, the flat was wrecked and dirty. Bathrooms and kitchen were filthy and hard to use, not corresponding to standards that we expected for this price. The picture of the courtyard is a fotomontage, since the terrace is located between high housewalls and not overlooking Via Margutta as announced.

    Response from Lorenzo:

Dear Sabine, I'm sorry to hear that your stay wasn't as you would've liked it to be. I'm super disappointed that you didn't stay in contact with me during your stay as I'm sure I could've helped resolve the cleanliness problem that you are mentioning only now. And I'm sorry that you think that the picture is not that of the terrace of the apartment. I'm not sure I understand how you could think this frankly. You were there after all. The terrace is exactly what is seen on the picture. As you saw, via Margutta is a narrow street with buildings wherever you look…! But this doesn't justify the lack of cleanliness of the apartment. I'm REALLY sorry about this and I'll make sure that the cleaning company that I deal with understands the level of cleanliness that I expect from them. THANK YOU for letting me know. It's guests like you who help me improve what I offer. I hope to have the chance to welcome you again but maybe in another apartment. Warm regards, Lorenzo

  • Response by the host was always fast and answered our questions well. He set up for a minivan transfer from the airport to the apartment, which was efficient and economical (65 Euros for 7 people each way). The apartment was fantastic. Via Margutta is just a 5 minutes walk from the Spanish steps but is a quiet street filled with tiny art galleries and on the weekends multiple small kiosks selling original works set up. A small but well stocked grocery store is just 10 minutes away, as are multiple decent restaurants and specialty stores including many that sell wonderful cheeses, pastries and pastas. The apartment itself has three bedrooms including one with two twins, one with a king that splits into two twins, and a third with bunk beds. Another bed is set up in an alcove by the first bedroom, which is curtained off. There's a little outside courtyard/patio which appears to be part of this apartment but we were unable to figure out how to open the outside door. The dining room table fits six comfortably and we squeezed in a seventh easily. I recommend this apartment highly and if I return to Italy with a group I will definitely book it. It's pretty much perfect in all ways.

  • Super location. Very central and very very quiet.
I was with a baby, and not even one rustle during the night (I highly appreciated that).
Beautiful Villa Borgese is just 10-14 min by feet with the stroller.
    It's fantastic for walking.
Cozy appartment, you have everything you need.
And nice view from the window in living-room, which is very sunny.
The oysteria at the same building is not bad for dinner.
Mr Honey (key's master) is very nice and helpful.
He arranged late check-out and helped with the car.
    The service is really excellent.
    Grazie mille!

You can go everywhere just walking and a Metro stop is one block from the apartment.
We were a group of 7 and Lorenzo arrange a van that pick up us from the airport.

    Muchas Gracias desde PERU !!
