Rachel and Michel are the best hosts. They are lovely, always available, and they make you feel at home. Their home is comfortable, clean and has everything you need. Michel's homemade bread is simply delicious. We had an amazing stay and we will definitely come back!

The house was great. I loved the location as it was very quiet. The kitchen was very well equipped. Rachel made me a great dinner and Michel made some tasty coconut treats.

I came to this air b&b but left here feeling like I had a small family, everybody was so welcoming, caring, they offered me a free meal and even though we had a language barrier they took the time to get to know me. I definitely plan on coming back next year and staying here! The house was clean spacious, they have a lovely garden which Michele was so kind to share some of his nectar with me, they helped me arrange a safari tour and picked me up and dropped me off at the airport for a moderate price compared to the taxis. They truly gave me a local experience.

Yoan was helpful with my pre-travel questions and he also made me feel most welcome upon arrival. I saw him only that first day, as expected, because the description explains that the house belongs to his mother. Yoan continued to help me via text and phone with details of getting around the island. He was relaxed yet eager to please. The house is large with many interesting details (also safe) and it is situated in a good spot to travel anywhere in Guadeloupe. My room had an AC unit that I could control. Rachel and Michel were lovely to me and both available if I wanted to talk while also respecting my privacy. They seem to love being Airbnb hosts. I enjoyed seeing their garden and tasting the fresh fruit juices! Rachel prepared a few meals for me and I am very grateful for her level of hospitality. I felt relaxed and refreshed staying there! I recommend at the highest level, especially for those who speak French or are working on their conversation skills.

Two families spent there 3 days before and 3 days after a 14 days cruise in the Caribbean Sea. Fantastic place to stay in Guadeloupe. A piece of paradise. Impeccably clean rooms in a large house with a real “botanic garden” around – fruit trees and flowers. Very kind and responsive hosts (Yoan, Rachel and Michael) treating you as a part of the family. Great location in a rich quiet neighborhood, convenient access by car, parking in the yard, close to shops, to the rainforest and the Western coast. Good Wi-Fi internet and kitchen facilities, large flat TV set in the living room, separate fridge for guests. We asked our host Yoan, so he helped us twice to rent a car – first time to get it at the airport and drop-off at the cruise terminal, second time vice versa. Travelled all around the island. Perfect holiday.

Comfortable home in a very convenient area (though can be difficult to find the first time!) There is a grocery store and gas station just moments away, and the home is absolutely lovely. Rachael and Michael were sweet and friendly for most of the time*, even sharing fresh fruit from the garden. Yoan was very accommodating ahead of time, as we had to switch our original reservation because of the East Coast blizzard. He was also available and in contact during our stay, although we did not see him at the home. *One major caution: A misunderstanding arose during the last part of our stay, and was further complicated by unacceptable behavior by Rachael. Because of our need to change the dates of our trip to Guadeloupe, we understood that we would have to switch rooms for the last night of our stay. Rachael told my sister-in-law that she and her husband would have to move their things into mine and my wife's room a day earlier than that so that she could clean for the next guests. As it turned out, she was apparently supposed to tell us to move into my in-laws' room, which Yoan informed us of by message. However, following this mix-up, Rachael's demeanor toward us changed substantially. As one noteworthy example, she wagged her finger in the face of my sister-in-law before smacking her shoulder (playfully?) where it was sunburned, angry we had "misunderstood." Perhaps because of the language difficulty, it was hard to smooth things over, but this circumstance would have been a forgivable mix-up if not for Rachael's actions the following day. A drawer in the wardrobe was provided with two keys to be able to lock valuables while we were away. The keys needed to be jiggled a bit to open and close, but the lock got stuck as we were moving out our things -- wedding rings and camera lenses both inside -- and Rachael refused to help, shrugging her shoulders and telling my wife and I that it wasn't her problem before walking away. (Were we to just clear out the room and leave our rings inside??) After our pleading, she suggested we find Michael (who was incredibly nice toward us during the entire duration of our trip). Regardless, the time was very uncomfortable for our final 48 hours in Guadeloupe. The demeanor in the house changed so dramatically that the four of us were very eager to leave. [Note: I speak several languages and have traveled to over a dozen countries, as has my wife. This situation was the first time I've felt so uncomfortable overseas.] All of that said, I understand that our predicament was somewhat unique and may have been the result of bad luck. The house is, overall, a good place to stay and very convenient, but be aware that having a car and being fluent in French will likely help greatly in terms of enjoying your stay.

The room with direct access to the garden is small but has a large cosy bed with a mosquite net, a little table with two chairs, enough space for cloths and a well working air condition. It was clean and quiet. A toilet and bathroom just for the guests is close by and an own fridge is offered, too. The family was very friendly and I felt like visiting relatives. It was a great atmosphere and I enjoyed my stay a lot. A car is needed to reach the house. The location is ideal to discover all of Basse-Terre. Within 2 minutes I was on route N1 and a larger supermarket is just another minute away. The residential area is very quiet, especially at night.
