Each of our bedrooms has en-suite shower facilities and a king size bed with beautiful white Egyptian cotton bedlinen, flat screen Freeview tvs, free wifi, and refreshments trays with tea, coffee, bottled water and homemade biscuits. Hopefully we have provided those little extras to make your stay with us a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The breakfast/sitting room is for the sole use of our guests where you can, if you wish, relax in the evenings watching dvds, or sharing a glass of wine.

On your arrival you will be offered tea with cake or scones and each morning you can enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast - or perhaps something lighter such as a mushroom omelette, fresh fruit salad or porridge. Local produce is used wherever possible.

There is a comfortable breakfast/sitting room with TV, DVD player and radio for the sole use of guests.
Unfortunately due to the layout of the house, there is no access to the garden.

We are on hand to deal with guests' requests or queries - and always happy to organise taxis, recommend places to eat and provide suggestions of things to do.

The Cottage is in the centre of the village, renowned for the beautiful Okeford Hill and its views and the many footpaths within easy reach.

The village pub, The Royal Oak, which also serves food, is three minutes walk away - handy for that last nightcap! There are many other pubs and places to eat within easy driving distance should you wish to venture further afield, but guests are also welcome to bring home a takeaway meal and a bottle of wine to enjoy in the guest sitting room.

Sherborne, with its Abbey and pretty and varied local shops, and Shaftesbury, with the famous Gold Hill of the Hovis advert, are each about 20 minutes drive away.

It is approximately a 45 minute drive to the beautiful Dorset coastline with its wonderful cliff walks and scenery - in fact the perfect central point from which to base your holiday.
