Helena's cottage is lovely - open air in the common area so that one looks onto her garden and can watch birds and butterflies while sipping coffee in the morning. There is a 'resident' howler monkey in the neighborhood, which was delightful to listen to. The bedroom/bathroom were well equipped, as was the yoga studio. In all, it was a wonderfully peaceful stay and we would not hesitate to come back.

Helena's place was a dream for us. The little cottages back right up to forest and it was so amazing to hear all the sounds of the jungle. The outdoor kitchen is so lovely as well and a great place to relax. We both utilized her yoga/meditation room every morning and were so grateful for that space. We found the bed extremely comfortable and slept so well the whole stay! The entire property is beautifully kept and thoughtfully designed with an artistic flare. Helena is so easy to communicate with and considerate of our needs. She knows the area and its people well and will help you plan your day if you need it. We went on many walks in the immediate area and never got tired of the gorgeous views. In case you couldn't tell, we didn't want to leave! Will be coming back for sure. Thanks Helena!

Helena was a great host, very helpful with suggestions. The only things were that the wifi tended to go out at night time but this could have been due to the rain. The beds were really comfortable but to pillows were very stiff and all the same. I ended up rolling some clothes up to use as pillows instead. Since we were in the rainforest there was a slight mildew smell to the room and my comforter felt damp. Other than that the stay was great! Helena was a very great host!

Helena's place was exactly what we were looking for. It's in a beautiful tiny neighborhood, where the scenery was breath taking. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed was extrememly comfortable. Helena's place is centrally located so driving our rental to all the things we wanted to see was easy. The open air kitchen is clean, and a hit with our 7 yr old. She especially loved the hammocks and the pretty little garden. I would highly recommend Helena's place to anyone traveling to Costa Rica.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! Clean and quiet, beautiful cozy garden, and the surrounding area is lovely. Helena had a lot of resources about nearby things to do and helped us figure it all out (loads and loads of great things to do within 30-60m away). Wish I was still there!

Helena was an excellent host, and her place was exactly what I was looking for during my stay in Costa Rica. The location is ideal for someone looking to explore many sides of the country, and go on an adventure. I definitely recommend renting a car to make the most if your stay, as Helena has several recommendations of things to do that are more fun if you can get to them on your own. The room is comfortable, and the outdoor kitchen was great to relax in each morning as you prepped for your day with some fresh coffee. I can't wait to come back!
