This area (the Plateau) is the most trendy area in the city so if you want to pretend to be a Montrealer for a short time, this is the place to be! It's right in the center of the plateau and within walking distance of all the action, but it's on a quiet residential street so you can be away from the hustle-bustle at night.
You'll be in between St-Laurent and St-Denis streets, some of my favorite Montreal streets for shopping, cute cafes, delicious restaurants, and trendy bars. Just down the block are Duluth and Prince Arthur streets, known for delicious bring your own wine restaurants with great outdoor patios. You really could not be more central! If you need to get around the city, you'll also be within a 10 minute walk of the subway station.
The apartment is newly renovated and tastefully decorated (if I may say so myself!), and you'll have everything you need here - a kitchen, living room, little dining nook and two bedrooms. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a great meal, that is if you've had enough of all of Montreal's St-Denis street feasts! Each bedroom consists of a double bed, and I have a blow up mattress that I can set up in the living room so I can accommodate groups of 6. I have a washer and dryer inside the apartment which is also great for longer stays.
If you want to get to know your neighbors, the building is all Airbnb so feel free! see my other listings here:

Stayed here mid February with my cousin and had a FANTASTIC time! Maddie was very patient with all my first-timer questions and always responded promptly. Her place was exactly as it appears and we loved it. By day 2 we were calling it home. Having a lock box for the keys made it very easy as there was no worry if our flights were delayed.
Given the time of year we were there, having temperature control in each room was a godsend. And the little balconies were perfect for checking the weather outside before venturing out.
The location couldn't have been more perfect! The Plateau is a fantastic area with a huge variety of places to eat and shop. Maddie's place is right in the heart of things, but perfectly tucked just off the main street so it's never noisy. We even walked to Old Montreal and around downtown and back to her place one afternoon.
The wi-fi was always fast and reliable (which was very important to us). The tv only had 2 English channels (yah I know not that important if you are there to see the city) but if you do want to watch a movie or something in the evening and have your laptop with you, it may be a good idea to bring some cords to maybe connect to the tv. I never had an issue getting hot water.
There is a fairly steep and narrow set of stairs to get to the apartment, so if you have mobility issues, it may be difficult for you. Lugging out bags up was a bit of a challenge, but it was a minor hassle and didn't take away from the great place.
I would absolutely reccommend this place to anyone else. I would happily stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was neat and clean and nicely decorated. It looked exactly like the pictures on the web.
The location is great as it is within walking distance to a Metro station, and restaurants, cafes, & shopping on Duluth & St. Denis. It was also handy to have a small grocery store within a 5 minute walk.
Maddie responded to our e-mails very quickly. We would stay here again.
Tout était parfait! Merci beaucoup
We really enjoyed our stay in Maddie's apartment on Hotel-de-Ville. The Plateau area is a really cute and happening spot with many nice restaurants, pubs and shops nearby.
The apartment was clean and comfortable with a kitchen bar to sit at and two balconies. The wireless was fast and the beds were decently comfortable. The lockbox entry made things easy and hassle-free as we did not need to coordinate with anyone to be let in. We would recommend this apartment!

Maddie's place was easy to find. It was in one of my favorite MTL locations right near Patati Patate for breakfast (St. Laurant and Rue Rachel) and Reservoir for dinner and drinks on Duluth. The apartment was very clean and modern. Easy to get into. We never met Maddie as she has a few of these spots. There was an iron, too.
We had a great stay. As described, the furnishings are clean and brand new. Hot water at full pressure. Maddie responded quickly to our request for more linens. I hope to be back in the future.
We had a wonderful time at this charming apartment. It was clean and spacious, well-situated and tastefully appointed. Maddie was a pleasure to communicate with and her instructions were clear and easy to follow. We would definitely stay again!
The apartment was fine for the price. The location was perfect for us although closer to a subway with small children may have been of more benefit. We didn't have anything to do with Maddie the host, other than to ask how the shower operated. The appliances were great, except the pipes froze as it was so cold. And the people upstairs made noises like a mob of kangaroos every morning at about 7am. Would recommend a short stay here, probably not as long as 10 days though.
We had a great stay at this flat! Its in a really good location for restaurants and a funky part of town. It was clean and had all the facilities we needed - the kitchen appliance range is impressive! Maddie was also on hand to help give the taxi directions when we first arrived which was really helpful.
Wonderful place to stay right in the center of it all. A fresh cleaning awaited us when we arrived. Unfortunately due to a snow storm we were only able to come up the second of our two days but we look forward to returning for a full stay. Definitely worth the 7 hr car ride for just one night. What a great city and an ideal place to stay. Many thanks Maddie!
