Choose one or both of two private suites in a private home near the Coronado National Forest Wilderness Area. This 4,000 square foot contemporary Santa Fe style home is beautifully situated on the one of the highest and most scenic improved parcels in the northwest Catalina Foothills at the base of Mount Lemmon. 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, gourmet kitchen, with multiple porches and decks with some of the best views of the Tucson valley.
This home is nestled into a saguaro studded hillside at an elevation of 3,200’ (Downtown Tucson is about 2,350’). It is one of the highest estates in the northwest foothills of Tucson and the view must be seen to be believed. During the day, you can see the mountains on the Mexican border (68 miles away) and at night, the sea of lights of metro Tucson are below you. Behind the home is designated wilderness area filled with wildlife and improved hiking trails off of Pima Canyon. We have personally seen the following birds and animals in our yard: giant owl; giant hawk, bobcat, deer, javelina, coyote, humming bird, rabit and various other species. The daytime temperatures in the summer are about 4 degrees less than downtown because of our elevation and the nighttime temperatures in the winter run at least 5 degrees warmer because we are off of the valley floor.

Strom was the perfect host and his home, with its commanding view of the city, is much more luxurious than the photos suggest, but also very comfortable. It's a steal of a deal at recent prices and I can't imagine staying any place else in Tuscon if one of the bedrooms is available.
I had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home for several days this November. There were breathtaking views from every window and from the wrap around porch. The master bedroom was spacious and comfortable and there was an attached large bathroom with a walk in tiled shower and jet tub. The neighborhood is quiet and very private. Strom and his family made me feel welcome, helped me find good places to eat and be entertained, and even let me borrow a bike, helmet and lock! I hope to get to stay here again.
Once we arrived at this beautiful property Strom was there to greet us and show us around and show us how to get in and out for the weekend. The house was gorgeous and clean. The views were spectacular and we felt very at home! We will definitely be back! Thanks Strom!
Fantastic experience at Strom's for the second year in the row. I have now stayed in both rooms and they are both great experiences. The bed in this room may be the most comfortable I have ever slept in! Nice fireplace to warm up at night, same great kitchen, pool and hot tub! Thanks Strom!
Strom and Margo offer a great place. They are friendly and courteous; balancing social interaction with privacy well. The house is beautiful and well furnished, the neighborhood secure and quiet - and the views are spectacular. Our first AirBNB stay, we are impressed!
The night views of the city were breath taking! The property was clean, comfortable and came with early morning coffee. Nice touch. IAlso most helpful with printing boarding passes. On our arrival Strom and Margo invited us to join them for an evenings with friends. Thoughtful of them. Great value for money. Thank you to our hosts!

About the Host, Strom
I am learning to have fun, kids are gone and grown and my mission is to see the world not from a tourist point of view. I am a computer engineer from Tucson, Arizona, USA. I would like to help you experience some of the local flavor of our country/city. I am not interested in the typical tourist traps, but really want to help you see the area from a local point of view. I love dancing, travelling, hiking, biking, swimming, snorkeling, music, trying new cultural foods and drinks.
