About This Listing
Nice big room available in a 3 room flatshare in the cool Canal Saint Martin area.
We have three bedrooms and rent one of them out whenever one or more of us goes away for the weekend.
The apartment is much admired by our friends and guests and we absolutely love living here !
The main room is the living room. It's open onto the kitchen, and the flat is very bright and airy.
The apartment is on the third floor with a lift and is very quiet as it looks onto a private courtyard. It's very beautiful and bohemian and Parisian... the floors are wooden and we have a fireplace, a breakfast bar with stools, and lots of books. There is a big kitchen (for Paris standards) with oven, microwave, 4 hobs, kettle, fridge, etc..., which you can use as long as you clean up afterwards! Bathroom with bath and shower and two sinks, a loo (with walls you can write on in chalk!)
There is free wifi you can use.
We're mostly looking for couples of friends who just want a place to bunk to explore Paris.
Who am I?
I'm a 26 year old English girl, working in the music industry in Paris, and I live with my French friends Nico (26 years old) and Claire (25 years old) in an 80m2 apartment. We are very relaxed and friendly and love having people to stay! Don't hesitate to get in touch to ask questions.
Lots of words apply to the Canal St Martin area like 'hip' and 'up and coming' and even possibly 'hipster'. It's a very desirable location with the best bars and, in my opinion, the best restaurants (well, the ones where you can get a great meal for 2 for 50 euros anyway, lets not talk about the ones near the Champs Elysées...)
The apartment is 5 mins walk from the Canal St Martin, and it's the meeting place of the area: in summer evenings it's full of young people drinking and playing guitar as they sit along its banks.
Walk to Père Lachaise cemetery (25 mins) or the trendy Buttes Chaumont park (20 minutes). Or just chill out in the apartment and choose from our tea collection... have I said I'm English yet?
Everything ! Free wifi etc., fridge space if you need it.
I might be on holiday, but one or both if the flat mates will be there.
Canal Saint Martin is the best for strolling, drinking, and discovering secret hideouts.
Metro Goncourt (line 11) or Belleville (lines 11 and 2).
10 minute walk to République, the big transport hub.
Velib station and auto lib station just downstairs (public bicycles and cars).
No smoking, but there is a courtyard on the ground floor where you can smoke.

Because we're all young and we're always rushing around, please be understanding and make sure you communicate as much as possible so we know when you're arriving and leaving.
We really like to hear about everyone's travels over a beer, especially when people share the music they like. But sometimes everyone is always in and out and we don't get the time...
Yes, my host made me feel really welcome. The description online was correct. The location is not exactly that close to the Eiffel Tower, but luckily the apartment was close to a Metro station.
We really enjoyed our 5 days at Joanna's place. The appartment is great, as well as the location. Joanna and her roommates are very nice and helpful; they made us feel welcome during our stay in Paris. We had a great Airbnb experience.
Tudo se passou perfeitamente.
Mantivemos um contato mesmo antes de chegar em Paris e fui recebido com um super BEM VINDO.
Apartamento genial e ambiente super aconchegante.
Seu "coloc", Paul, muito gentil.
Combinamos até de se rever em Paris ou em Lyon.
The experience in Paris was so much better staying at Joanna's place. It is in a very good location close to two metro stations, and the rooms are clean and have a nice student-life vibe. Although Joanna wasn't present, she was very friendly and followed up regularly with us via email, and her roommates were super nice and an amazing help!! I highly recommend this place!
We stayed as a couple in Joannas apartment for five days. We met her flatmates Samantha and Nicolas, and an another airbnb guest. On the last day, Joanna joined. All were very nice and are interesting personalities. On our arrival we have been on our own and everything was fine. Use of the kitchen, wifi and bathroom was fully satisfying. The flat was charming and we got the biggest room. Very recommendable.

About the Host, Joanna
I love to introduce people to Paris! I live here with my flat mates Claire and Nicolas.
Before I moved here I visited many times; I've been through pretty much every stage of knowing the city, from total ignorance of the language, customs and geography, to feeling like I know it better than my home town in the UK.
If you want to know anything else, just ask.
A notre humble avis !
