Nice big room available in a 3 room flatshare in the cool Canal Saint Martin area.
We have three bedrooms and rent one of them out whenever one or more of us goes away for the weekend.
The apartment is much admired by our friends and guests and we absolutely love living here !
The main room is the living room. It's open onto the kitchen, and the flat is very bright and airy.
The apartment is on the third floor with a lift and is very quiet as it looks onto a private courtyard. It's very beautiful and bohemian and Parisian... the floors are wooden and we have a (email hidden) with stools, and lots of books. There is a big kitchen (for Paris standards) with oven, microwave, 4 hobs, kettle, fridge, etc..., which you can use as long as you clean up afterwards! Bathroom with bath and shower and two sinks, a loo (with walls you can write on in chalk!)
There is free wifi you can use.
We're mostly looking for couples of friends who just want a place to bunk to explore Paris.
Who am I?
I'm a 25 year old English girl, working in the music industry in Paris, and I live with my French flatmates Nico (25 years old) and Samantha (25 years old) in an 80m2 apartment. We are very relaxed and friendly and love having people to stay! Don't hesitate to get in touch to ask questions.
Lots of words apply to the Canal St Martin area like 'hip' and 'up and coming' and even possibly 'hipster'. It's a very desirable location with the best bars and, in my opinion, the best restaurants (well, the ones where you can get a great meal for 2 for 50 euros anyway, lets not talk about the ones near the Champs Elysées...)
The apartment is 5 mins walk from the Canal St Martin, and it's the meeting place of the area: in summer evenings it's full of young people drinking and playing guitar as they sit along its banks.
Walk to Père Lachaise cemetery (20 mins) or the trendy Buttes Chaumont park (20 minutes). Or just chill out in the apartment and choose from our tea collection... have I said I'm English yet?
Everything ! Free wifi etc., fridge space if you need it.
I will be on holiday, but my two flatmates will be there.
Canal Saint Martin is the best for strolling, drinking, and discovering secret hideouts.
Metro Goncourt (line 11) or Belleville (lines 11 and 2).
10 minute walk to République, the big transport hub.
Velib station and auto lib station just downstairs.
We stayed as a couple in Joannas apartment for five days. We met her flatmates Samantha and Nicolas, and an another airbnb guest. On the last day, Joanna joined. All were very nice and are interesting personalities. On our arrival we have been on our own and everything was fine. Use of the kitchen, wifi and bathroom was fully satisfying. The flat was charming and we got the biggest room. Very recommendable.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Joanna's place for four nights, and it proved to be the perfect place for relaxing after exploring Paris. Joanna and Nico were pleasant and accommodating hosts, even when we accidentally locked Nico in the apartment. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to be centrally located in the city as the flat's proximity to metro stations as well as the canal is a huge plus. Also, it doesn't hurt that Joanna and Nico are genuinely cool, interesting, down-to-earth people; they helped make this an exemplary Airbnb experience.
Joanna was the best host! She took me out with her friends and made me feel at home. The apartment is perfect and in a great location. Lovely host!
I did not meet Joanna, only met Nicola. He is very nice and has a lovely kitchen. We had a wonderful experience in Paris.
Really nice flat, everything as in the photos, the metro station Goncourt is really close and with one change you can go everywhere! Nico, the only host i met,is really a nice guy and i surely reccomend this place to stay in Paris! :)
It was a great apartment and the host was exceptional. Super helpful with directions and made us feel very welcome.
Joanna is an impeccable host. She was endlessly helpful and generous with her time. The flat is beautifully laid out, kept very well, and it's enjoyable to spend time in. It's also well located for a beautiful walk to the centre of Paris.
I really can't fault a single thing. Joanna and Nico's relaxed and friendly disposition made our trip to Paris all the better. Highly highly recommended.
very nice people, beautiful apartment, my favouriote district- gerne wieder!
I lived at Joanna's apartment just 3 days. But it was really amazing 3 days in Paris. Joanna is really nice, before coming to Paris she sent me full instructions how to get to her house, then she helped me with subway. Apartment is pretty good, it has all necessary utilities. During my trip I didn't feel any inconvenience so i do recommend to stay at this apartment. The subway is
really close and also Joanna can advise you places to visit and how to get there
The place was cool, well located, close to metro stations, bars and grocery shops. Joanna was nice enough to give us her room as opposed to the couch in the living room. She also arranged for her room mate to wait for us so we could drop off our stuff. The room was fine, and really perfect for what we needed - a bunk for the night whilst we were out exploring Paris.
