About this listing
An excellent apartment in the heart of Siena, overlooking the old town, a few steps from Piazza del Campo. From its windows on the top floor of a building of the fourteenth century we see a wonderful view facing south-west from which emerge the Duomo cathedral and the church of San Domenico, as well as the Tuscan countryside as in the Ambrogio Lorenzetti fresco "Il Buongoverno"in the Siena Council in Piazza del Campo . The apartment is tastefully furnished with all the comforts and is ideal for a couple but can accommodate up to 4 people. The location is perfect with regard to services, shops and restaurants, in a quiet and peaceful area. On request it is possible to use a security monitored parking (Parcheggio Santa Caterina via esterna Fontebranda) at an additional cost of €10 per day.
Si prega di non fumare e di togliere le scarpe dato che il pavimento è in legno laccato bianco.
We loved our stay in this beautiful apartment. We felt welcomed and very taken care of. We had a little trouble with the Internet, and the whole family jumped in to help right away. Everyone was so nice. Our stay was during the July Palio, so I was very happy to have earplugs for the nighttime noise that surrounds this amazing event-And for the mornings when I wasn't ready for the 7:30am bells. We enjoyed being right in the center of the excitement, but able to rest above it all when we needed to. Our stay was one month, so we really were grateful for the kitchen and washing machine. We didn't mind the stairs to the apartment. Do bring comfy shoes, as the the city is wonderful for walking, but full of hills and uneven stone streets...Oh,and be sure to leave a little space in your suitcase for the lovely clothes from mom's boutique!
Bernardo's apartment was fantastic. Clean and bright, all appliances functioning perfectly, extremely comfortable bed. The view is also stunning - so you still feel like you're right in the middle of the city even while relaxing at home. And situated right between the Duomo and San Domenico, the overlapping echoes of the bells are beautiful. It is on the top floor, but don't be daunted by the stairs - because without them you wouldn't have the wonderful view!
If you have any problems with the internet, just unplug and replug the tiny router in the corner by the radiator and it will work again in no time.
We stayed here for five nights at the end of a long trip, and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Communication and check-in/out were also very easy and kindly flexible. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Siena!
(Also really great central location - and the Chinese restaurant across the street was surprisingly excellent and cheap. For a fantastic splurgy dinner, check out Da Divo.)
We have stayed in Siena many times before and always use Airbnb. This place is amazing and we found it better than the rest at similar prices! The view is fantastic! It is very close to the main square but due to it being on the top floor is very quiet and peaceful. It is very clean and modern with all the necessary facilities available.
I will definitely be staying there again!
Bernardo was very accommodating and quick to respond to emails.
Overall we have nothing to complain about and had another amazing experience in Siena!
Lovely apartment in the center of Siena. The view from the apartment is amazing! The apartment is very well located. Bernardo replied very quickly and did his best to welcome us. I would recommend staying here while you visit Siena.
The location was perfect, just a few steps away from all the historic spots. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and the views were great. The shower is a little bit cramped, but it wasn't a big deal. The bed is comfortable and ultimately the apartment was just what we needed. We recommend eating at Bagoga's down the street, it was delicious.
Bernardo and his apartment in Siena are the perfect example of a great Airbnb experience. Before traveling, he was very responsive in answering my emailed questions. When I asked for directions to his apartment, Bernardo offered to meet me at the bus when I arrived in Siena from Rome. And, there he was waiting with a smile and warm greeting to lead me to the apartment. The apartment was as beautiful and well located as described on the Airbnb website. The bustling Campo was just steps away, yet the apartment is located on a quiet and charming side street. Views of Siena and the Tuscan countryside from the apartment windows are amazing. The apartment is bright, very clean and filled with thoughtful elements that made it feel like a true home away from home. My daughter and I spent each morning eating breakfast in front of the living room window wishing we could extend our visit and stay in this wonderful apartment longer!

About the Host, Bernardo
I'm 30 I was born in Siena but I live in Florence where I manage some apartments. I travel often to Milan where my girlfriend lives. When I can I also go to my parents house near Siena. I love to stay there because they lives in a beautiful countryside. I like to travel, for this reason I try to visit new places as soon as possible and take pictures of them, my Instagram profile is "bernardofiordoni". I'm very interested in plants, historic gardens and nature. I love rowing on the Arno river and I also like cycling and swimming. If you come in Florence I can give you some interesting suggestion for some special place here in Tuscany. I love to be an host, I thought that doing this the world would come travelling to me, which is almost like seeing the world. Another thing was, Florence is a very busy city with a lot of people from abroad, but it’s really hard for us locals to get to know these people. The Florentines like to have separate lives from the tourists. For me it’s the opposite. I want to get in touch with these foreigners coming to Florence. And now I have the chance to get to know them. So that’s is my way of sharing Florence with the world.
