An excellent apartment in the heart of Siena, overlooking the old town, a few steps from Piazza del Campo. From its windows on the top floor of a building of the fourteenth century we see a wonderful view facing south-west from which emerge the Duomo cathedral and the church of San Domenico, as well as the Tuscan countryside as in the Ambrogio Lorenzetti fresco "Il Buongoverno"in the Siena Council in Piazza del Campo . The apartment is tastefully furnished with all the comforts and is ideal for a couple but can accommodate up to 4 people. The location is perfect with regard to services, shops and restaurants, in a quiet and peaceful area. On request it is possible to use a security monitored parking (Parcheggio Santa Caterina via esterna Fontebranda) at an additional cost of €10 per day.
Si prega di non fumare e di togliere le scarpe dato che il pavimento è in legno laccato bianco.
Bernardo's father met us and showed us everything we needed to know in their lovely apartment. It is a very special place--The apartment is very comfortable and the views of Siena are very beautiful--actually they are stunning!!! The neighborhood is quiet and yet near to all major sights. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return there sometime. Thank you!!
This apartment is a piece of heaven ! So cosy and beautifully arranged, full of light, with a breathtaking view... The location is absolutely perfect.
Bernardo and his father Luciano were really nice and arranging.
I could not recommend this apartment enough, and I hope to come back some day. We loved it here.

I spent four nights at Bernardo's apartment with my partner in March 2015. Everything was as Bernardo described and we were more than satisfied with our stay. Also his communication prior to the stay was fantastic: prompt responses and helpful information. On arrival he was waiting for us at the agreed time and was friendly and welcoming. The apartment was very clean and had everything two people could need for a comfortable stay. We ate at a couple of his recommended restaurants and definitely agree with them!
Bernardo was lovely, and quick to respond. He met us at the aparment to make sure we had everything we needed. The space is just like the photos: bright but also cozy. We were very pleased with our stay, and would love to come back at some point. The position within the city was great for getting everywhere you wanted to be on foot. Also, the apartment is on the top floor - and the view is BEAUTIFUL!!
If arriving by car, the only downside is that you have to park outside the old city and carry your things in. It's not ideal, but well worth the extra sweat to make it happen.
The apartment itself can get a little muggy inside (it's part of an ancient city - no judgement!), so we opened the windows for a few minutes when we arrived back at the apartment. No big deal.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this host and this space. True airBnb style! :-)
I recently stayed in Bernado's apartment in mid Oct 2015. It is a gem of an apartment! A big plus for this bijoux apartment is that it is off a quiet lane and located right in the middle of the old city. It is conveniently located to the main historic sites - an 8 min walk to the main city square Piazza del Campo, and 2 mins to the taxi rank at Piazza Gramsci, 2 mins to the Siena Catherdral.
Bernado was always quick to respond to all questions pre-arrival with suggestions on transport, options to visit around sienna, and where to eat etc. He made us feel welcome and was waiting at the street doorway to greet us upon our arrival. The flat is located on the top floor 4th floor of the building so for those with big suitcases, be prepared to flex your muscles. Graciously, Bernado helped us to bring ours up which was very kind of him. He also showed us around the flat and made sure we had everything we needed before heading off.
The flat itself is tastefully designed with a full view of the sky, St Caterina of Sienna church, and street scenes. The windows can open up to fully ventilate the apartment. It was also kitted out with clean linen, towels and tea coffee making facilities. The wifi works well. As there were 3 of us, we had intended to use the loft bed which is below a skylight but found that to get to it, you have to climb onto the ledge from the kitchen and you'de have to be wary of not falling off in the middle of the night. Instead, we used the living room sofa which opens up to a sofa bed easily.
The bathroom is a bit pokey so we were careful climbing in and out of it! It was also fully kitted out with bath products. The flat also has a fully fledged kitchen. Just buy fresh food and you can cook; though why when you have all this cuisine at your doorstep.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Bernado's flat and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
We had a great time at the apartment of Bernardo at the hart of Siena. The apartment is bright and has a beautiful view over the historical center of Siena. I'm 29 I was born in Siena but I live in Florence where I manage some apartments. I travel often to Milan where my girlfriend lives. When I can I also go to my parents house near Siena. I love to stay there because they lives in a beautiful countryside. I like to travel, for this reason I try to visit new places as soon as possible and take pictures of them, my Instagram profile is "bernardofiordoni". I'm very interested in plants, historic gardens and nature. I love rowing on the Arno river and I also like cycling and swimming. If you come in Florence I can give you some interesting suggestion for some special place here in Tuscany. I love to be an host, I thought that doing this the world would come travelling to me, which is almost like seeing the world. Another thing was, Florence is a very busy city with a lot of people from abroad, but it’s really hard for us locals to get to know these people. The Florentines like to have separate lives from the tourists. For me it’s the opposite. I want to get in touch with these foreigners coming to Florence. And now I have the chance to get to know them. So that’s is my way of sharing Florence with the world.
