I had a great stay! Naomi was out of town, but her brother Tim was a really great host. He was very welcoming and creates a comfortable environment in which to live. The house is close to a nice shopping center, ABC, and is just off the main road into town so it is plugged into the major public transportation networks. The house is spacious, clean, and secure, and, at least while I was there, has high speed internet. Highly recommended!
I had a great stay at Naomis place. During our short meeting, she seemed a very kind a helpful person. I mostly met her brother Tim and he was also very nice and interesting to chat with. The house is GREAT and very clean! It has the most beautiful wooden floor, nice furniture and everything you need like shower, several toilets, fully equiped kitchen, mosquito net over the huge bed... There is a special security at the entrance of the neighborhood and a double locked front door, so it is perfectly safe. 10 meters from the place you have a service station for shopping and some 150 meters a mall with vegetable market, restaurants and coffee places. Just next to the house, there is a Matatu ( local buses) stop that will get you to center town in 10-30 minutes (depending on traffic). I am sure everybody will enjoy the stay in this house.
I had an excellent stay at Naomi's. I will be back and will recommend her place to my peers.
Her place is clean and cozy - in a quiet and safe gated compound - conveniently located right off Waiwaki Way - right next to James Gishuru (sp?) RD - so I could get into Town Center, West Lands and across to the other side of town in no time - without having to spend ours in Nairobi traffic.
Naomi's brother was my host during my visit - excellent fellow - very polite and accommodating. Two other guests were there - Danish ladies doing a documentary on the Kenya election. They felt equally at home and at ease.
I will be back.
I am a frequent traveller and always looking for cozy places that remind me of home when am abroad, i'd like to try offer you the same experience with my home while you are in Nairobi!
