Although the guest room is a den, I am away most of the summer, therefore you do not have to share any common area with me and most of the apartment is yours to enjoy!
You will likely have the apartment to yourself as I will be away most of the summer. I will naturally let you know.
I have a small spare den in my stylish eclectic apartment, which doubles as a private cozy guest room. The den has a fold out single bed, small table and a closet and is mainly intended for a good night's rest. Guests are encouraged to make full use of the rest of the apartment (be it cooking in the kitchen, lounging in the living room or balcony or taking advantage of the en-suite laundry, internet and my building’s gym). I also have a parking spot and a couple of bikes to choose from. Cycling is an easy and convenient way of getting around the city and riding the seawall (bike/pedestrian path along the parameter of Stanley park and downtown peninsula) is not to be missed!
I work as a tourguide in the summer months, so I could be gone few weeks at a time, therefore more notice is always a good idea. I'm home based (work from home) in the fall & winter, but tend to escape to the mountains on the weekends once the ski season starts.
Interaction with Guests
I would ask of guests to kingly complete their profiles and attach a photo, to give me an idea who I am accepting into my home.
I live in a Downtown area known as the International Village / Crosstown – easy walking distance to Chinatown, Gastown and Yaletown and the stadiums.
There are many restaurants, shops and few sights in this neighbourhood.
There's a great public transit - Skytrain, buses and False Creek ferries within few minutes or you can use my bike.
Other Things to Note
***I appreciate clear and prompt communication. If I have pre-approved you and you've had a change of plans and no longer require lodging, please let me know (it's a common courtesy).
I value guests's feedback and reviews.
Non-smoking, incl. balcony
I had a great stay at Patricia's apartment. I haven't met her yet but everything was organised for me to arrive anyway. It's a cosy space to return to at the end of a busy day exploring the city! I managed to walk everywhere I needed too. It's a great place to stay!
I really liked the location and the room. Patricia was friendly and welcoming. She got me settled and then was gone. It was clean and neat. It is close to a mall, a grocery store and Patricia's instructions about the area and how to find things were very clear. All in all, I would recommend it highly. Thanks Patricia:)
Patricia's apartment was just as described and a perfect location for attending an event at the convention center. Her neighborhood has everything you need and the surrounding areas were great fun as well. Patricia was a great host. The first thing she did was walk me all around the area and up to the convention center so I would know the area. She could not have been a better host! Everything about the stay was perfect. Would have no hesitation to recommend Patricia's place if you're looking for a place near the heart of Vancouver!
I had a good stay at Patricia's apartment.
The room was really nice and easy to access the IT school I’m currently studying.
The apartment was so close to Chinatown and the mail aria of downtown that I could wake around there.
I definitely would like to stay again her apartment!
Everything was great! Location was convenient and Patricia was very helpful in explaining to me about how to get around. Security was good and felt safe coming and going in the building. I'd definitely stay here again the next time I am in Vancouver.
Patricia's place is so great. The apartment was really nice. Even though I haven't met Patricia, she arranged everything via email. The apartment was on walking distance to Chinatown and downtown.
Even though I did not meet Patricia, we arranged everything through email and the stay went without any problems. The apartment is nice, clean, tidy and cozy!

I'm an adventurous and open minded person. I'm gone most of the summers as I travel for living as a guide and I hibernate working from home in the winter months. Naturally, I love to travel when I'm not working. I lead high-end tours throughout the most popular places in North America (Rockies, Alaska, and Eastern Canada/US), but when I travel for leisure, I backpack and choose to go off-the-beaten path as much as possible. All-inclusive and Vegas type holidays are not for me. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and learning about different cultures and customs.
