We are a young family bringing back the charm of our lovely 1909 craftsman home. Located only two blocks off of main street in one of the oldest neighborhoods in McMinnville, our three bedroom and two full bathroom home is perfect for a family vacation (the largest playground in town is just across the street) or for a couple’s getaway (you can easily walk to some of the best restaurants and bars in the whole valley).
We have 3 bedrooms: One queen size bed and one double size bed upstairs, and one queen size bed downstairs. We have a queen size Aerobed air mattress that we can set up in the living room to make enough beds for 8. The kitchen has a Bosch electric range and is fully stocked.
We have two bathrooms. One was remodeled in March ’13 and the other in June ‘11. The main bathroom has a walk in shower with two shower heads. The upstairs bathroom has a claw foot tub and a short shower head. We provide soap and shampoo and conditioner.
A few things that we don't have are TV stations/cable and a landline phone. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we don't seem to miss them. It makes for a quiet and relaxing home! We do have internet access for our guests.
The back yard has a large koi pond, lovely maple trees, a small garden, and fire pit. There is a new Weber gas grill and a large table for outdoor meals. It's the perfect backyard for a summer evening.

Our home is centrally located in McMinnville. We are across the street from the McMinnville Chamber of Commerce and two blocks from our treasured downtown on 3rd st. 3rd st has a large variety of great restaurants and some nice nooks for a drink. The Oak is a vintage sports bar that will charm you even if you have no interest in sports. Nick’s Backroom is a great place to stop in for a drink and a small plate. Access to Nick’s Backroom is down the alley off of Evans st. between 4th and 3rd.
The Library, aquatic center, and City Park are just across a parking lot from us. 10-15 minute walk to Linfield's campus and location for IPNC (International Pinot Noir Festival). `
The entire house is yours except the garage and basement.
Interaction with Guests
We would be glad to meet you when you arrive and show you around or you can use the code for the front door that we will give you to check in at your leisure. We are often in town and are available should any issues arise. Otherwise we will have a friend be a contact for your stay.
Our favorite thing about the neighborhood is how close we are to downtown. We often stroll downtown after dinner for a late night cocktail at Thistle or a scoop of icecream at Serendipity.
We have a great recommendation for a private chauffeur if needed. Also there is a transit station a few blocks away.
Other Things to Note
There is a city lodging tax of 8% that is rolled into our rate.
We truly hope that you enjoy your stay with us. We ask that you respect our home when you are here and know that it is a work in progress. Much of our furniture and belongings are things that we have worked hard for and love so please treat our space like you would want yours treated. There is no smoking in the house or on the front porch. We do live in a neighborhood so please be respectful of our neighbors and have quiet hours after 10pm. The double wide driveway is shared with the neighbor so please keep cars on the close side of the driveway. Please wipe pets feet if it's muddy outside and try to keep their nails trimmed because of our soft wood floors. There is a non-refundable fee of $30 for each dog. You can pay in cash or check at the time of your stay. Please check out by noon because we may have other guests coming soon after you. Thank you!
