We are a young family bringing back the charm of our lovely 1909 craftsman home. Located only two blocks off of main street in one of the oldest neighborhoods in McMinnville, our three bedroom and two full bathroom home is perfect for a family vacation (the largest playground in town is just across the street) or for a couple’s getaway (you can easily walk to some of the best restaurants and bars in the whole valley).
We have 3 bedrooms: One queen size bed upstairs, one double size bed downstairs, and a nursery with a crib and a double bed. We have a queen size Aerobed air mattress that we can set up in the living room to make enough beds for 8. Our couch is pretty comfortable to sleep on as well. The kitchen has a Bosch electric range and is fully stocked (except for a microwave).
We have two bathrooms. One was remodeled in March ’13 and the other in June ‘10. The main bathroom has a walk in shower with two shower heads. The upstairs bathroom has a claw foot tub and a short shower head. We provide artisan soaps and shampoo and conditioner.
A few things that we don't have are cable, a telephone, or a microwave. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we don't seem to miss them. It makes for a quiet and relaxing home! We do have internet access for our guests.
The back yard has a large koi pond, lovely maple trees, a small garden, and fire pit. There is a new Weber gas grill and a large table for outdoor meals. It's the perfect backyard for a summer evening.
Off street parking available for two cars.
Our home is centrally located in McMinnville. We are across the street from the McMinnville Chamber of Commerce and two blocks from our treasured downtown on 3rd st. 3rd st has a large variety of great restaurants and some nice nooks for a drink. The Oak is a vintage sports bar that will charm you even if you have no interest in sports. Nick’s Backroom is a great place to stop in for a drink and a small plate. Access to Nick’s Backroom is down the alley off of Evans st. between 4th and 3rd.
The Library, aquatic center, and City Park are just across a parking lot from us. 10-15 minute walk to Linfield's campus and location for IPNC (International Pinot Noir Festival). `

This house was amazing, everything was perfect. The location was close to everything, walking distance to great food and lots of tasting rooms. I can't wait to stay again soon!
We stayed here as part of group of seven friends on a busy wedding weekend in Oregon wine country. The house is lovely and was perfect for what we needed to spend quality time together--great spots to hang out and chat (in the living room and backyard), everything we could possibly need in the kitchen, comfortable beds to sleep in, and plenty of bathroom space for the mornings. Everyone in our group was thrilled with the house, and wanted to pass on our thanks for an excellent weekend accommodation.
Five women friends of a certain age stayed at this place two nights on our annual fall bike trip. The house was just as described, a gem of an old house in the heart of McMinnville, and an easy walk to a grocery store, great restaurants, breweries, and wine tastings. The house was lovely--clean, welcoming, stylishly eclectic, and well-equipped. The three double beds were comfortable (one is a full. We doubled up in the other two, which were queens). If we'd needed to, we could have adjusted the heat/cooling.
It was clear that the hosts are interesting, creative people who care about their home life, the past (lots of art and interesting retro and retooled things) and the future (compost bucket, recycling bin, organic garden). We enjoyed sitting in the back garden with a koi pond, and our bikes enjoyed the security of the garage. No TV (perfect!), quiet neighborhood. This was a great experience!
Brielle's home was perfect for our family wine country visit. All 8 of us enjoyed the home - particularly the beautifully renovated bathroom, fully stocked kitchen with all the gadgets, free wifi, and great location in downtown McMinnville. From here you can easily walk to all the downtown restaurants and shops, and nearby Market Fresh grocery/ deli. It's an easy drive to wineries in Carlton and Dundee. Brielle was a generous host, even offered her garden tomatoes and farm fresh eggs- both were delicious. I recommend Brielle's place for your next wine country trip for 6-8 people!
Great location. .5 mile walk to ALL the restaurants in McMinnville. Cute 3br home with some nice perks like a pretty backyard with a dart board and a koi pond. Wi-Fi access. No TV, if you care about that sort of thing (we didn't).
Good, easy communication with the owner. They even left us fresh eggs and a bottle of wine.
Recommended for a stay in the Oregon wine country.
Brielle's home in McMinnville was beautiful and so well cared for -- you can really see her design is a labor of love. The beds were comfortable, even the air mattress! It was well located near the downtown area and encouraged us to walk around this lovely town. I would love to return if we are ever in McMinnville again!
We had a fantastic time and Brielle was great to work with! The house could not be more conveniently located. We were able to walk to delicious breakfast spots every morning. We arrived to a clean house that was a fun mix of old and new. We had a group of 8 adults and the house worked perfectly for us.
Brielle's place was beautiful. We played darts, cooked great meals in the kitchen and enjoyed their beautifully decorated living room. The home is filled with cleverly chosen objects that express their personality. A great time for sure.
The home was very quiet, comfortable, and had some charming features. The location was convenient for us to walk to the historic district for excellent restaurants and markets. It was helpful to have access to a washer and dryer, because we were gone overall for 2 weeks and didn't want to pack so much and didn't want to go to a laundramat. It would have been nice if the TV had received channels, when relaxing at night. Some of the lights were not bright enough for reading.
Fantastic Old House, so much chacacter and now upgraded with modern cool fixtures, like the downstaris double shower pretty sexy, the old school claw footed upstairs bath tub awesome, Creaky Wooden Floors love it,
Back yard was nice and tranquil, coi pond, dart board, bbq, fire fit
McMinnville, Couple blocks from Hotel oregon, and couple nice coffee shop found one on 3rd street that had stumpdown coffee, close to wineries
