I live in a two bedroom condo, on the third floor in the heart of Andersonville with my partner and our sweet, well-behaved dog. It is truly a beautiful space with hardwood floors, a bright and open layout, private, and very quiet. Cozy in the winter and lost of space to chill in the summer, having both a front and back deck. Both decks get both direct sunlight and shade and just a great place to relax.
Room can accomodate one or two people with firm, comfortable full-size mattress and a clean private bath and shower. There is shampoo/conditioner and soap, hairdryer available to anybody who packed light.
Upon arriving I will give you your set of keys and a guide full of neighborhood tips and house instructions.
We have fast-speed WIFI as well and parking is always available out front with no charge.
You are welcome to use the kitchen and any of the appliances: dishwasher, juicer, microwave, fridge... etc. There is plenty of space in the fridge if you get tired of dining out or just want to save some bucks.
I live within blocks of the lake (close to beaches and a bike trail that can take you all the way to downtown) and a block and a half from the redline which will get you to Michigan Ave, Millenium Park, Museums, Wrigleyville (to catch a game), Chinatown, Lincoln park, Lakeview; many of the hotspots for clubbing, dining, and shopping!!
Andersonville is a very safe neighborhood with great boutiques, independent artsy shops, ethnic and american dining. We live within a block a way from one of the best breakfasts spots in the city as well as a few blocks from an excellent coffee shop. A couple blocks away in the other direction is a section of the neighborhood called "Asian on Argyle", with my authentic asian restaurant and shops. There are also a couple health/organic grocery stores within walking distance.
The redline train is a 5-10 minute walk from our place. Fare is 2.25 one way to get to downtown.
Just clean up after yourself/selves if using the common areas. No smoking inside the home.
Liz , her partner, and their canine friend Aashi were all very welcoming and their house was a tranquil and pleasant space. The condo is a great location-- there are plenty of great restaurants and things to do within walking distance. Downtown is about 30 minutes via red line and there are also easily accessible bus lines from their condo. Would definitely stay there again!
Elisabeth and her partner were wonderful, respectful hosts , and I
would highly recommend them to anyone planning to visit Chicago. Their apartment is a short, convenient walk to the redline. If you have the time, check out their neighborhood. Lots of unique shops and restaurants on Clark St.
AWESOME apartment and location. The apartment was decorated beautifully and our hosts were great. Loved Aashi so much too!
My friend and I just got back from our Spring Break week at Liz and Kanika's, and we wouldn't have changed a thing... everything is exactly as described, only better. The Andersonville neighbourhood is a real gem that most tourists would likely never stumble upon, and after an easy commute back and forth around the city it was amazing to head "home" to such a warm, inviting space each night. Liz and Kanika were always friendly and ever-so-helpful, all the while giving us lots of space to do our own thing. Good vibes all around, we we only wish we would have been able to spend more time with these two lovelies and their sweet dog. Next time!
Liz was a wonderful host! The room was bright and colorful and having our own bathroom was also very convenient. About a 5-10 minute walk from Argyle station. Takes around half an hour to get to downtown by train. They also have an adorable dog called Aashi!
This was my first AirBnb experience and Liz and Kanika were absolutely great! They were very nice and friendly! I stayed for two nights and they couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. I really enjoyed staying here and their apartment was very nicely decorated and the space was just as it looks in the pictures.
The location was also great too, in which it only took me about 5-10 minutes to get to the train station to head to the city for the day.
Overall, great experience and definitely recommended!
Liz and Kanika were wonderful hosts. Their condo had an artsy welcoming feel to it. We also loved their dog, Aashi. Although they were home when we were visiting, we always felt like we had a lot of privacy and enjoyed having our own luxurious bathroom. The neighborhood was super close to the train station and had close, quaint breakfast places we enjoyed. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Hello!!! My name is Liz and I am currently a full-time student studying Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture and working as a Shiatsu Practitioner/Massage Therapist. I live with my partner, Kanika, who works in the loop as a Professional Counselor, and our sweet dog, Aashi. Both Kanika and I have a pretty busy schedule during the week but during the weekend we often chill at home or spend time out dining with time with friends and family.
A little about me: I traveled a large portion of my twenties (India, South America, Central America, Asia) but now am settled down in hometown of Chicago to be close to family. I love Chicago, it is a great city with great people and, of course, great food! I enjoy making people feel comfortable and happy, as I experienced LOTS on my travels. I am pretty flexible and open-minded, but I do like to keep a clean, calm, nurturing home. My hobbies and interests include yoga, cooking, painting, photography, health and wellness, and of course, traveling and adventures.
