I live in a two bedroom condo, on the third floor in the heart of Andersonville with my partner and our sweet, well-behaved dog. It is truly a beautiful space with hardwood floors, a bright and open layout, private, and very quiet. Cozy in the winter and lost of space to chill in the summer, having both a front and back deck. Both decks get both direct sunlight and shade and just a great place to relax.
Room can accomodate one or two people with firm, comfortable full-size mattress and a clean private bath and shower. There is shampoo/conditioner and soap, hairdryer available to anybody who packed light.
Upon arriving I will give you your set of keys and a guide full of neighborhood tips and house instructions.
We have fast-speed WIFI as well and parking is always available out front with no charge.
You are welcome to use the kitchen and any of the appliances: dishwasher, juicer, microwave, fridge... etc. There is plenty of space in the fridge if you get tired of dining out or just want to save some bucks.
I live within blocks of the lake (close to beaches and a bike trail that can take you all the way to downtown) and a block and a half from the redline which will get you to Michigan Ave, Millenium Park, Museums, Wrigleyville (to catch a game), Chinatown, Lincoln park, Lakeview; many of the hotspots for clubbing, dining, and shopping!!
Andersonville is a very safe neighborhood with great boutiques, independent artsy shops, ethnic and american dining. We live within a block a way from one of the best breakfasts spots in the city as well as a few blocks from an excellent coffee shop. A couple blocks away in the other direction is a section of the neighborhood called "Asian on Argyle", with my authentic asian restaurant and shops. There are also a couple health/organic grocery stores within walking distance.
The redline train is a 5-10 minute walk from our place. Fare is 2.25 one way to get to downtown.
Just clean up after yourself/selves if using the common areas. No smoking inside the home.
Liz and Kanika were wonderful hosts. Their condo had an artsy welcoming feel to it. We also loved their dog, Aashi. Although they were home when we were visiting, we always felt like we had a lot of privacy and enjoyed having our own luxurious bathroom. The neighborhood was super close to the train station and had close, quaint breakfast places we enjoyed. Would definitely recommend staying here!
It was wonderful, just like the last time. They were accommodating with fridge space and with our coming-and-going. Delightful hosts, lovely space, wonderful neighborhood, perfect.
Wonderful stay with Liz. Apartment seemed special somehow--very natural feeling. Bedroom was quiet and private, and it's great to have your own bathroom. Dog is super sweet and non-intrusive. Neighborhood was great. Walked to Andersonville, drove to Lincoln Square easily, ate at yummy Tank Noodle. Highly recommend.
We had a great stay at Elisabeth and Kanika's. As hosts, they were easy going, friendly and helpful and we loved how generous they were with the use of their kitchen. It was easy to feel comfortable in the space right away. Their home is as charming and relaxing as could be and just as described! I'd definitely recommend!
Elizabeth was great. She helped me with my bag and was very kind and friendly. The room and the apartment were cheerful and clean. The train was just a couple of short blocks away. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely book here again.
The neighborhood was clean and safe and we even managed to spot fireflies after dark! This gorgeous apartment was perfectly located for us to explore the delights of Andersonville and to access public transport into the city. Our bedroom and private bath was well maintained and very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast each morning on the outdoor deck and relaxing on the sofa after a busy day of sightseeing. The house was nice and cool despite the summer heat outside and the bedroom had a fantastic ceiling fan too which was so appreciated. It was lovely to be able to store our food in the fridge and for my partner to use the kettle too.
Liz and Kanika were fantastic hosts who made us feel welcome from start to finish. We'd love to stay here again the next time we find ourselves in Chicago. Thank you for making us feel so comfortable and looked after during our stay!
Andersonville is a wonderful area and there are plenty of delicious food options in the nearby area (including George's Ice Cream, Taste of Heaven and Hoppin' Hots) and some fabulous stores too.
Elisabeth was an amazing host during our stay in Chicago, she is an accommodating and kind spirit to her guests. The apartment is beautiful, cozy and welcoming. The private bedroom and bathroom really feel like a home away from home. Located close to many wonderful restaurants, shops and public transportation, there's plenty of entertainment in a short walk from the apartment. As Chicago is a city I adore and will return to in the future, I hope I can be lucky enough to stay with Elisabeth again.

Hello!!! My name is Liz and I am currently a full-time student studying Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture and working as a Shiatsu Practitioner/Massage Therapist. I live with my partner, Kanika, who works in the loop as a Professional Counselor, and our sweet dog, Aashi. Both Kanika and I have a pretty busy schedule during the week but during the weekend we often chill at home or spend time out dining with time with friends and family.
A little about me: I traveled a large portion of my twenties (India, South America, Central America, Asia) but now am settled down in hometown of Chicago to be close to family. I love Chicago, it is a great city with great people and, of course, great food! I enjoy making people feel comfortable and happy, as I experienced LOTS on my travels. I am pretty flexible and open-minded, but I do like to keep a clean, calm, nurturing home. My hobbies and interests include yoga, cooking, painting, photography, health and wellness, and of course, traveling and adventures.
