Corner apartment in a small brownstone building in the heart of Park Slope. The place faces west and gets tons of sunlight. Separate bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom - with a nice fire escape outside the kitchen. The bedroom has a full bed and the living room has a 6ft long couch (and an air mattress if necessary). Comes with an Apple TV (with Netflix, etc), Sonos sound system, tons of cooking supplies, a huge library, and iPod speakers in the bathroom (for extra loud shower singing). On the second floor just steps from grocery stores, drop off laundry, Gorilla coffee, and tons of shops, bars and restaurants on 5th avenue. You can even catch a Brooklyn Nets game at the Barclays Center, which is just a few blocks away! 7 minute walk to the Atlantic Terminal which serves pretty much every subway -the BDNQR2345 trains - and the LIRR; 15 minutes to lower Manhattan; 20 minutes to Union Square.
**Update: some past AirBnBrs have mentioned that there is traffic noise. This is indeed the case. There is a white noise generator in the bedroom, but it is not absolutely silent for those who are sensitive to noise.**
**Update 2: one of the reviews mentions a lack of a/c. There is an a/c unit in the bedroom which generally cools the entire apartment.**
Kim is positively wonderful and incredibly helpful. Not only that, but the apartment is really an ideal place to stay in New York City. Not too far from Barclays Center for transportation into Manhattan, but still near quaint and less-busy restaurants and shops in Park Slope.
The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Kim was an excellent host. Very easy to communicate with; nice clean apartment in a great neighborhood! Would definitely stay again. Thanks Kim!
Kim's apartment was great! Good location.. Clean and safe. I would absolutely stay here again. Kim was flexible with arrival time and welcoming. Thanks Kim!
The location of this apartment is great. Very close to transportation into Manhattan and within blocks of all the highlights of Brooklyn. It's clean and sunny, no complaints there. Kim left us
That being said, come prepared with earplugs as it's on a busy street. Also, we happened to come on a peak heat weekend and this apartment just wasn't comfortable without A/C.
Kim was a responsive and helpful hostess, but her apartment would be better in the cooler months.
We totally agree with Victoria: the neighborhood is really great!
But we also agree on the fact that traffic and street noise is heard in Kim's apartment --and it's heard very loud!
Even if the apartment was great for our stay, it would be even better if it was slighty tidier and cleaner!
We fell in love with this neighborhood!! There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars in the area to go to. Everybody was just super nice to us It was just my sister and I on the trip but we never felt like we weren't safe. It is very, very close to the subways that can take you to Manhattan and very easy to find your way back. We didn't really have too much contact with Kim. We met her when we got there. She was very helpful getting our luggage up to apmnt and helping us find parking. The apartment was clean and plenty of space for two people Her television was broken and left on a chair in her bedroom (she did tell me I could try to fix it) and I didn't think it was a big deal, we weren't there to watch t.v. but when I got home at night, it would have been nice to settle down to t.v. I also could not get her sonos speakers to work but used her ipod speakers. I did bring my laptop and internet was fine. After our initial meeting, I did not see Kim again. I did text her twice with questions and she answered them back right away . Although it didn't bother me (we were in a city) traffic and street noise is heard in apartment. I can't say enough about Park Slope. We loved the neighborhood, we didn't want to leave and I would absolutely live there...
