Apartment is a quiet, fully furnished studio in a beautiful building. It is on the 7th floor of an eight story building. It has cable TV and Wireless Internet access.
The apartment has views of downtown, and gets in plenty of natural daylight. It has a full kitchen and also a big bathroom with a tub. Coin-op laundry facilities on site.
The building is safe, quiet and on a friendly and clean block. Lots of shops, restaurants, bars and galleries in the neighborhood and only three blocks walk from Union Square. There is a grocery store (Trader Joe's) within walking distance. There is also an Avis Car Rental facility right across the street. Muni bus lines (phone number hidden) and others stop within one block of the building; BART (Airport train) and MUNI trains are a short walk away (5 min Powell street Station). High tech shuttles within walking distance and easy access to cabs right outside the building.
Sorry, no pets allowed. No smoking.

Barbara's apartment was really well located. Few blocks from Union Square meant moving around was easy. Things are generally easily available in the area.
The place was neat and clean when we checked in. It is a little small for two people (my girlfriend and I) but the location really made up for it. Something else that I thought was useful was her detailed instructions when we booked the place.
The apartment, albeit old, was clean, bright, and most of all bed bug free. The kitchen comes with many essential staples such as spices, cookware, and some beverages. - which made my stay a lot more affordable as I didn't have to eat out all the time. You can't beat the location and I felt relatively safe walking at night. Technically, there aren't laundry facilities on site - they're in the building next door. Overall though, my stay at Barbara's was great and I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting downtown SF.
This is a lovely little apartment, just as pictured, in a really convenient location for visiting the city: it's just a few minutes walk from Union Square, close to lots of public transport options, and surrounded by delicious places to eat. As a single female traveler I was conscious of safety, but found the area absolutely fine. Barbara (and Jamil) were really easy to communicate with. This is a great place.
Barbara's apt is super cute and in a perfect location! Union square is right down the street and we ate in Chinatown everytime- so close and so yummy. Easy to get to public transport. Barbara works O/a so entry is through a third party which made it slightly difficult communication wise but we made it in the end. Great for a couple.
I had a good time in San Francisco. If you want/need to stay downtown, the place is quite nice. What I didn't see from the pictures is that there is no table/desk at all, so if you plan to work or eat, it's not ideal - the fold-out table for the sofa is tiny. You will also need to live out of the suitcase since the closet is full.
Jamil, Barbaras friend, was friendly and helpful; I didn't meet Barbara myself.
Renting Barbara's studio made our stay in San Francisco great! Since she is out of the country, a friend in SF is who we dealt with and we had no issues! We felt like true residents of the city which we loved! Her place was clean and we had no problems getting our key from Jamil and settling in. Be aware that you are in the heart of downtown, so it was pretty loud at night, but it was worth it for us to have that location. I would rent Barbara's place again if in the area!
Apartment was just right, clean, bright and comfortable. Great downtown location with easy walking and public transport links to pretty much anywhere. Arrangements to rent were easy to make. We will rent it again if it is available next time we are in SF.
Great location, priced right. Like living in a friend's place.
The host, Barbara, was very easy to communicate and work with. The studio is functional...as described. The neighborhood is characteristic of San Francisco. I would have felt safer with a chain link on the studio door so that I could lock it from inside. Lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance.
