Fishtown is a great neighborhood with lots of character. There are several great bars and pubs within a few blocks' radius and several great restaurants nearby. There are also lots of music venues, art galleries, and coffee shops in the area. There is also a huge supermarket 10 minutes away walking, and a 24 hour 7/11 convenient store 5 minutes away walking.
Public transportation is really convenient here, with the Market/Frankford subway line only a 5 minute walk away. That line connects you to most places in the city you'd want to see. It takes about 5 minutes on the train to get to Center City and about 10-12 minutes to 30th St. Station.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house. You are welcome to use the kitchen but please clean up after yourselves. If you are using the A/C units in the bedrooms we ask that you turn them off when you are not at home. House parties are not allowed and may result in additional cleaning fees and claims against the security deposit for broken items. When you return your key, please lock the doors from the outside of the house and return the keys through the door's mail slot.
Jon and Allison have a a sweet house conveniently located a few subway stops from the center of Philladelphia. They recommended a couple of great restaurants walking distance from he house - we tried Johnny Brenda and loved it. We very much enjoyed our stay.
I loved staying at Jon and Allison's home. Jon was extremely welcoming, the house looked just as listed. It's an amazing house with all its original architecture and charm. Plenty of space and comfy beds. It's about a 15 minute walk to North Liberties and it's right off 95. Would defiantly recommend staying there.
Jon was a very kind host. We made last minute weekend getaway plans and he accommodated our schedule, even though we booked with short notice. Also, one of my relatives left her boots and he mailed them to her as soon as he was able. We didn't get a chance to meet Allison, but Jon was lovely and seemed to sincerely care about our stay. Malcolm, the cat, was not a problem at all and my daughter enjoyed playing with him, so he turned out to be an attraction.
The apartment is amazing in probably the most hip (developed) neighborhood in Philly. The cat is awesome, too. Would definitely stay here again!
wonderful stay! i specially enjoy working in the kitchen, while rest of my family had relax game time in the spacious cozy living room. love this house!
We had a great time staying here! Jon and Allison were very responsive to every question we had, and Malcolm was adorable and a treat to come home to. The house was clean, and very spacious. We went to Kraftwork and Frankford Hall, both within a couple minutes walking distance, and both very fun. (And delicious!) We would definitely recommend staying here to others!

About the Host, Jon And Allison
We are avid travelers (we actually met at a hostel while traveling!) and love to meet fellow travelers from around the world. We love food and enjoy trying out new types of food introduced to us. Because things in life (work and school) have made it more difficult for us to travel as much as we would like to, we like to do the next best thing and meet people traveling in our neck of the woods!
