Our spacious double room with its own bathroom is part of a big welcoming house full of family and affectionate pets. The bus stop just outside will transport you quickly to all of London. Richmond is full of great restaurants, theatre and pubs.
A large double room and en suite bathroom with a corner bath big enough for 2 and a separate shower. Overlooks private garden. The house is a few minutes walk from the woods of Sheen Common and beautiful Richmond Park where Henry VIII hunted and deer still roam free. Richmond is an historic town on the river Thames with Ham House and Hampton Court nearby. We are also close to Kew Gardens and the National Archives.
Our family (psychiatrist, writer, four children studying) love travelling and we enjoy having people to stay. Great food. WiFi, TV, house full of books a dog and 2 cats. We are easy going and are happy to provide you with food or let you cook your own.
Easy transport links to London with bus stop on the door step. Train stations (North Sheen, Richmond, Mortlake), cinemas and 2 theatres within 10 minutes walk. Easy walk to a range of restaurants in Sheen and Richmond (Italian, Lebanese, Indian, Thai, Japanese, Hamburgers) and traditional riverside pubs.
We often have another small single room available for a third guest if needed.
Some of our guests stay in the room and some come and use the kitchen. Happy to bring breakfast up to the room or invite you downstairs.
Public transport could not be easier. The 33 bus stop is right outside the house. Buses run all night from the centre of London and Hammersmith. During the day the buses arrive every five or ten minutes and there is a text number to tell you when the next one is due. Trains into central London from North Sheen, Mortlake or Richmond are just a five to fifteen minute walk away. The fast train to Waterloo in Central London takes less than twenty minutes.
Other Things to Note
We are happy to provide breakfast but it will be added to the initial cost of the room. The price depends on what you would like. We are also happy to let you make your own.
No smoking in the house, no excessive noise during weekdays after 10 pm.
It was only a short overnight stay, but we were made to feel welcome. The large bedroom was tastefully decorated and clean. Our only slight reservation was the lack of toilet door in the ensuite area.

Katherine, her daughter and her pets made us feel very welcome - and the house and garden were as beautiful as they look in pictures! I wish we could come back to see it in the summer, too! The location was also very convenient.
We used the house for a photoshoot and Katherine went above and beyond her duties to help our day go to plan. She was a very attentive and helpful host who cares a lot about her AirBnb guests and I would recommend a stay here to anyone.
We stayed with Kathy for just 1 night whilst attending a function nearby. She was extremely helpful with arrival and parking details. She gave us a warm welcome and a lovely chatty breakfast. The bed was particularly comfortable and the bath towels luxurious. Thank you Sally
I really enjoyed my stay with Kathy and her family. This was my first time to England and they made me feel so comfortable and at home.
They are wonderful , warm and friendly people, and have the most adorable pets; who are a pleasure to come home to after a long day.
The room is great. Spacious, comfortable bed, clean, lovely big bath. Good breakfasts...What more could you ask for.
I'd highly recommend staying at Kathy's. I'm looking forward to my next stay with them.. Thanks again for everything
Super nice stay in lovely room with great people and great pets - I did consider taking my favourite cat with me when I left.
Many thanks for the help with the luggage Kathering, much appreciated :-)
