About this listing

The space

In a three-story building we rent a beautiful apartment with kitchen, large bedroom, ample living room with fine furniture and a writers' corner. This apartment is located in the second floor (first floor US & Europe) no lift available.
Big windows with view over a little park and the Bridge of Sighs, in a green and quiet street in the heart of Barranco, near restaurants and cafes.
The apartment is in the heart of Barranco two steps from maybe the nicest street of Lima, an old street leading to the beaches in just few meters, in the evening and excellent place to take a pisco sour or a meal in the different restaurant found there.
Less than 100 meters away is the main square in Barranco with the cathedral, the city hall and the library.
We advise you not to miss a visit to the Pedro de Osma Museum and Gallery of Mario Testino located a few meters from the square.
This district is also rich in culture and gastronomy. And only 30 min. far from Lima colonial center by public transportation.
At the side of the house there is an excellent cafe with outdoor patio where you can enjoy tea and coffee and delicious vegetarian dishes and desserts. Weekly price 600USD, two weeks 1000USD, three weeks 1500USD, one month 1800USD.

An excellent place to stay, especially if you want to enjoy the lively life to be found in Barranco, the spectacular views from the long malecón park, easy access to the beach and all the excitement around the Puente de Los Suspiros. The park in front of the apartment is in constant motion with dogs running, children playing and couples walking and talking- the hum of traffic is part of the charm. The hosts run a tight ship, they were most helpful in every way. You'll love living in Barranco from this excellent place.

Lovely place, great location and really eclectic design with alot of light in the apartment. Also next to one of the city's best coffee shops (which is outdoors) so easy to enjoy the Lima sun (if you get any!) Definitely would recommend it to others looking for a relaxed stay in Barranco.

The place is lovely and charming, we immediately felt at home. There's a lot of space, we also enjoyed the giant bed a bed. The view on the park is very nice and barranco is a great neighborhood, definitely the one I recommend for a stay in Lima. In that regard the location of the house is excellent, the only problem is that it gets incredibly noisy at night during the weekends. We traveled with a baby and Carmen and Francesco kindly offered to lend us a pack and play for our son, we didn't meet them during the stay but they were very responsive to any request we had. I would recommend this place despite the noise

The apartment is spacious and brilliantly located within minutes' walk of the beach and a supermarket with cash machines. Literally across the wall from one organic café (great for breakfast, since it opens at 8am) and another around the corner (with fabulous coffee). Easy to get to Miraflores and San Isidro. Fantastic shower. Lovely period furniture. Francesco arranged transport for us from the airport and waited until almost 1am to hand over the keys. He also kindly provided us with a map and explained the basics about the neighbourhood. Locks are a bit tricky but you get used to it quickly.

Extremely easy and prompt to deal with both Francesco and Carmen, and also an absolute pleasure to meet them. Great location with everything you need in barranco, which is also perfectly positioned to see all the tourist stuff in Lima

Barranco is a great neighborhood. Very picturesque, cool artsy boutiques, great coffee shops (11:11), good spots for having cocktails and drinks. The food options seem to be better in other parts of the city, but we did find a few cevicherias near Plaza Butters that were authentic and amazing. Carmen's tips were very good on the map that she provides. The apartment is in a fabulous location. Beautiful street and great view over the puente de los suspiros. It's noisy because the major avenue is right there and the taxis and buses honk a lot. But we got used to it. Carmen and Francesco were great about getting back to us quickly with any questions we had. All in all, a good experience.

The apartment itself is wonderful, and in a really great area of Barranco. A five minute walk down to the ocean for nice walks, and lots of shops and restaurants within mere steps. I was very, very happy here for the two weeks I spent in the apartment. Also, Francesco and Carmen are wonderful hosts; some of the best I have encountered on airbnb. They gave me lots of great info about the area, and even helped me find a clinic when I had a random medical problem pop up. Only good things to say about these two. I was so happy staying with them, in fact, that I stayed with them at Casa Nuestra when I got back to Lima (which is also lovely).

We are an Italian-Peruvian couple that lives in between Lima and Cocachimba in Peru. When we are not in Lima a friend of us, an Equatorian guy takes over. Our friend, Freddy will be your host in Casa Nuestra Peru in Lima from January 20th 2017 until the beginning of December 2017 while we are working on an exciting tourism new project in Cocachimba, Amazonas region in the north of Peru!

About Carmen & Francesco
We like to travel, enjoy good music and art. We love to share our house with our guests that come from all around the world. We have been living in Lima since 2011 and adore exploring new, hidden places, not well know but that have an artistic, culinary or a traditional Peruvian interest.

We have a little boy and also a dog called Paq'u', a Peruvian hairless dog, he lives upstairs with us, you will see him very little.

About Freddy
I have been living with my partner, a French girl in Lima, Peru since 2010. And have been enjoying the Peruvian way of life since then.

As a musician, I love music, I love to travel, whether it's a challenging hike, visiting a paradise beach, exploring a new culture or a culinary experience. During the last 4 years we have explored Latin America together and I will love to share our stories and travel advice with you.

++ We have rooms per day, per week and per month available. If you need you are looking for a long term please and there is no availability through Airbnb, please contact us and we can see how we can help you. ++
