Nakano-Shinbashi Share House was a fantastic place to stay at, and I would go so far as to say that it was one of the highlights of my 2 week trip to Tokyo.
First off, the house itself is particularly difficult to locate due to the nature of the Japanese addressing system (which is, in my opinion, rather horrid). But instructions on getting to the house provided by the hosts were on point. And the location of the house is superb, considering that it is a mere 2 stations away from Shinjuku, but at the same time is really quiet and safe. My favourite restaurant in the area, Kushikatsukushi (串かつ串), run by one Daisuke-san (extremely nice restaurant owner, he is), is also a mere 5-minute walk away from the house.
The long term Japanese tenants staying in the house were an absolute pleasure, and coming back home after a long day of travelling and simply chatting or watching TV with them were some of the simple pleasures I had during my stay. Toss in a melting pot of travelers from around the globe, and it makes for some really interesting conversations!
The host that contacted me, Toshi-san, was really friendly and picked me up from the station. He gave brief but concise instructions on the house rules which were easy enough to follow. Although he doesn't live in the house itself, he drops by once in a while (and also made a much-needed quick fix to a fused bulb).
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay near central Tokyo!
Toshi was very patient and waited because my flight got into Narita very late. The house is clean and guests all keep to themselves so it's a great place to stay. Two stops from Shinjuku station, doesn't get much better!
Toshi, Kimi & Henry were great host, incredibly friendly and willing to entertain countless questions.
The listing's neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful with various amenities such as the 7-11 and other food places.
Room itself was clean with air conditioning and just as the pictures described.
Just do take note that floorboards tend to be creaky and walls relatively thin.
It is not the biggest of places but for the price, it is certainly worth the money. Overall, I did enjoy my stay at the place.
Really nice place to stay in Tokyo, everyone was friendly and the place was clean. The hosts were super helpful and met me near the house and fixed the aircon in my room when they realised it wasn't working. An overall good experience.
The place was clean and pretty close to shinjuku station. The room was just as described.

Koenji town is one very unique place, it's where the old and new blends well, and the town offers so many restaurants and Bars, Izakayas, Ramen shops, Live music clubs that are fueled by the young generation with lots of Genki energy.
Look forward to see you soon in Tokyo !
