  • In short Cristina made our stay in Italy! Her warmth, hospitality and incredible knowledge of not only Florence but Tuscany in general meant that we were really able to see this part of Italy from a local perspective. She recommended great restaurants in Florence, Sienna and beyond and I can honestly say every single one was a winner. Her place is beautiful, fully equipped and feels like a real home. The apartment in a really nice local suburb of Florence, only a short stroll from the centre of town, but far enough away to avoid the herds of tourists. I really can't recommend Florence and specifically Cristina's hospitality enough.

Thanks again to you Cristina, I hope we can repay your warmth & generosity one day, Nic & James xx

  • My stay in Florence was wonderful, thanks to Cristina and Gianni. The apartment is very nice--clean, cozy, and comfortable. There is a beautiful large kitchen that you can cook your meals in and a washing machine to do your clothes. The bed and couch are also very comfortable and lovely to rest on after a long day of sightseeing in Florence. There is a very nice bakery on the first floor and a supermarket just a couple of blocks away. The city of Florence is gorgeous and very close. You can walk there easily in just 20 minutes and arrive at the Duomo. If you are not up to walking, there is also a bus stop around the corner. During the day, a lovely open-air market is also in the piazza, just at the end of the street where you can buy fruits, vegetables, and other goods. Also, a nice gelateria is just around the corner.

Cristina and Gianni are very kind and lovely people. They made sure I was very comfortable and happy during my stay at Ipippini. You could not ask for more attentive hosts. They will take great care of you! :)

I would definitely stay there again if I return to Florence.

  • Pros: Nice neighborhood, 20-30 minute walk to downtown, bus stop closeby, coop near the apt.
It is nice to have a secure parking space. They had everything my family needs. We like bakery downstairs.

  • My husband and I had a great time in Florence staying in Cristina and Gianni's apartment. Cristina was wonderful and friendly - she met us at a local cafe then took us to the flat and giving us a map and other tips for the local area. She also brought us a gift of some local sausages which were great. The apartment itself is as it looks in the photos - very clean and spacious, good heating (we went in January) and fully equipped kitchen. The flat is close to a supermarket and the bakery on the ground floor is really good for breakfast. It was a 15 to 20 min walk to center of Florence with cafes and little shops on the way.
We would definitely stay in the flat again if we return to Florence!

  • I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay at. The apartment is fully equipped, EXTREMELY clean - a major plus for me, a bit away from the center so you do not stumble into hordes of people once you leave the apartment while being close enough to downtown (a good 20 minutes walk).

Besides the great place Cristina & Gianni are super helpful with advice - they even provided me with a great list of things to do/visit. Since I came for work I didn't have much time checking out all the things I would have wanted to - though the few suggestions I followed up with were great!

thank you thank you thank you

  • What a great apartment to stay in. located about 15 minutes walk away from Duomo it is central but won't keep you up at night.

Cristina was a great host and gave us a lot of information that was very useful.

  • Gianni and Cristina appartment - the best variant for people, who travels by car. Although the appartment was above any praises, most of all impressed us their garage with two gate, after those our car was in fool safety. The appartment was clear and there was all conveniences that you need for living. And the appartment really locate in 20 minutes from the historical center of the city.
And to go on foot in Florence we liked very much. Gianni and Cristina are very outgoing and friendly owners!

  • Ipipinni, named after our host’s twins, is about as close as you can get to Florence’s major attractions, while escaping the hustle and bustle of tourist hoards. A 20 minute walk to the Duomo down tree lined boulevards gradually phasing into narrower Renaissance streets takes you past some of Florence’s most famous piazzas, museums and architectural sights. The apartment itself is very attractive and well- appointed with an up to date kitchen and bathroom and a bright airy living room, perfect for a couple, with an additional bed in the living room to accommodate 4 in a pinch. Its 2nd floor (3rd floor for USA residents) location ensures quiet and relaxation. Just off Piazza Le Cure you’re 1 minute’s walk from major bus lines. An extra bonus for us as dedicated foodies always on the lookout for epicurean delights, was the daily public market on the square, full of wonderfully fresh and tasty fruits, vegetables, meats and cheeses from local farms and vendors. Our hosts, Cristina and Gianni were attentive to our every need making sure everything was ship shape. Cristina’s write-up of suggested locals-only shops, restaurants and sights formed a handy reference for our week-long stay. We highly recommend this centrally situated and impeccably maintained apartment as an ideal base for exploring one of the world’s great historic cities.
    Grazie Cristina & Gianni!

  • What a fantastic location! This apartment is right above a bakery - we woke up to the smell of bread baking and bought fresh croissants and olive oil rolls for our breakfast every morning. Across the street is an organic dairy store, with the most delicious yogurt I have ever eaten, and around the corner is a wonderful daily fruit, veggie, meat, cheese and bread market every morning. The hosts were amazing - they have us the inside scoop on where to go and what to do during our stay, and provided some fantastic restaurant recommendations. Christine was a big help as we planned our trip, helping me line up cooking classes, wine tastings, and tours around the nearby hill towns. This was the most professional, well organized air bnb we've ever stayed at! And such a good deal! Walking distance to everything, even the little hill town of Fiesole.
