About this listing
Cozy small room with bathroom outside door
This listing is for an available room which is jungle facing, the third room of a 3-bedroom apartment with a balcony on the 21st floor overlooking a 180- degrees view of the Andaman Sea. The room has a single bed, air-condition and long windows.
The locality is Miami Beach in a peaceful and uncrowded community known as Miami Green, located along the fame northern beach of Batu Ferringhi of Penang. It is served slightly more than half hour to Georgetown World Heritage Site and half this time to Penang National Park ( Teluk Bahang Fishing Village) in the opposite direction by a regular bus service. Life's a beach at Batu Ferringi sea resort village 15 minutes away.
If you are looking for a local haunt equally beckoned by nature and history then this is just the place for you. You will be surprised how peaceful and tranquil your stay will be. You will be equally surprised by the international flavor of Miami green. The scenic Miami Beach beach is a mere 5-minute walk down the road.
Swimming-pool (one big and one small)) and sauna facilities.
Interaction with Guests
I mostly around unless l have to be in the capital city. I like too interact with my guests during breakfast or perhaps a meal together
for a local experience.
Miami Green is a friendly, quiet and green environment near to the sea and around many beaches in the vicinity of this residential area. It is both a multi-national and local community in a rural-urban resort setting. Besides, its location is part of contrasting landscapes like jungle, seas and hills makes Miami Green an ideal lo
cation for a short to long-term holiday.
Public transport is very easy. There is a convenient bus service which connects the National park and downtown Georgetown at opposite ends. (See Map for location).
Other Things to Note

ocal living. More greater about this same unit, refer to the listing Island Heritage Truly Asia. Its the same apartment.
No shoes and no smoking inside the house. Room windows and balcony sliding doors to be closed upon leaving the apartment when no one is around the house. The apartment is at the 21st floor.
top notch and knowledgeable host - excellent location away from the hordes - right near Miami beach / Batu ferringhi... near 101 bus stop with an amazing beach view. secure location with 24hr guard.
I stayed at Khalid's place during the Penang leg of my Asian trip and it turned out to be the best experience out of all the places I visited. Khalid himself and his place together epitomise the experience that travellers such as me look out for - belonging right away at an unfamiliar place.
From the very beginning, Khalid was not only present at the bus stop to receive me, planned my short stay and things-to-do/heritage-trails on hand-drawn maps but he also took me out for the delicious Penang food a couple of times. I was able to chat with him as if I'd known him for long and he also introduced me to the other guests he was hosting. We talked about travel experiences, works, his Indian visit and his knowledge about Indian food that he seemed to be fond of.
About the place: To say that the location was fantastic would be an understatement. It was on a hill with sea views from room and from the balcony. The tourist frequented Batu Ferringhi, Spice Garden, Monkey Beach etc. are quite close (~5-15 mins) to the place whereas Georgetown falls on the bus routes that go from near the house. The house had all the usual amenities/utilities functioning properly, all the towels/toiletries were new before my arrival, food and juices were stocked and shared very warmly.
At the end of the day, I believe the host completed the experience of staying at such a nice place and I left not only with new friends but also with a promise to come back very soon.
Khalid is a fellow traveller with the heart at the right point. I stayed at his place "The Reef" in the smaller of the 2 rooms for 3 nights. The flat is functionally furnished and equipped. Cleanliness was ok. There was not much noise in the night, so I slept like a baby. Pool and the stunning view are add-ons you will like. Nice surprise Khalid offered me free breakfast, toast, jam, butter, tea and coffee. Opposite of the building is a quite, little and nice beach with Miami Beach Cafe, a simple place, where Marie serves homemade Indian dishes plus some western food and drinks right on the sea. Batu Ferringhi is just 5 min by bus. Bus stop is at Miami Beach Cafe. I would book again. Thx Khalid, Rene
From getting off at the Ferry point to getting me on the bus terminal Khalid helped me in every which way. He is truly a happy go lucky person who gives all in for his guests. Keeping in touch while my stay and giving me hand made map trails for discovering the heritrage sites were just a few of many things Khalid did for me. Recommended stay.
Thanks alot Khalid.
Khalid is one of the best hosts I have ever met! You will be provided with all the travelers information you need (tourist guides, local maps and the best advises on how to efficiently explore George Town and Batu Ferringhi) and more. The apartment is very lovely with a spectacular view to the jungle and sea.
The only small discomfort was internet access - you will have to use the downstairs pool area and the connection is quite weak. So if you are planning to do any work on your holiday that requires good internet connection - that might create some annoyance.
Otherwise - Khalid's place is a perfect holiday place to enjoy yourself in beautiful surroundings! :)
Very pleasant stay in a very beautiful part of the island. Khalid was very helpful with information about Penang, also interesting to chat with. Thanks Khalid.
